How can we use bitcoin for shopping if no online merchants is adopting bitcoins? I've got confused. I am willing to spend my bitcoin for online shopping, but if cash on delivery is available then I would prefer to choose it first.

As many questions the answer is not black or white but it depends. So if you want other people to adopt bitcoin as currency then you have to ask it. That is, when you buy something you could ask if they accept bitcoin as currency. Meanwhile if there are many customers who do the same question and they try to find the particular shop who accepts this medium of payment then their desire is a demand; In this way the merchants are forced to happily accept bitcoin in order to increase their customers base.

As I have not used bitcoin till now for any of the purchase or bills I'll prefer bitcoin to experience how it works. Later on with the same I can get the advantages of using it.

I consider myself an investor of Bitcoin and not a silly spender. So given a choice, I would prefer fiat currency to pay to the shopkeeper. I would not touch my bitcoin unless it is absolutely needed.

As you have mentioned in the second paragraph, I too agree with it. With highly dynamic pricing, you will end up giving away your fortune for silly purchases. So I use fiat currency for my daily living and always save up my bitcoins for future. I will probably keep those bitcoin for another 5 years with me and then according to the market value, I will sell those for something really luxurious.

Of course I pay for fiat. What's the money you if you did not spend it. And therefore called bitcoin investment because you want to grow your money. If you have yet a fiat do not touch your bitcoin. Then you just spend the bitcoin when you have no money.

I will continue to use my Fiat since currently where I am, there is no place to buy anything that accepts btc and if I say I want to go online the amount I will be paying will be more considering the trust issues and other costs that will be embedded in the cost of the goods. All I need to do in curing myself of such stress is just to convert then buy. Simple as that.

I still prefer to pay in fiat because i dont want to spend my bitcoin for something that is not really needed. as an investor every seconds are important because of the movement of price, better to save than to spend. and in our location its very rare to see merchants accepting it as payment so even if you are fine spending your btc you have no choice but convert it first or get btc debit card to be able to use it.

Good question.Well, i would go with my fiat for the reason you have mentioned in your post.Bitcoin would grow day by day but fiat would remain almost same.Bitcoin is digital gold and nobody would be ready to spend it for buying some stuffs in shop.

For experience. Okay that is cool. I might try it also just for an apple.
But still I would want to wisely spend every satoshi after that. Looking at the price it says all the reason to keep it. Then, looking at the whole year of 2016 of how it grows drastically you will have a stronger reason to why hold it and add some more. Merchants will really have a hard time to sell their items through this currency. They should consider other options.

In my experience price for the same thing varies on different places. Before I buy anything I check prices first in shops close to me, then I look what is the price in other cities (here I always count delivery plus) and internet sale, I choose place where I have best price and terms. I don`t care so much which of the currencies I will use as much as I care about above written, and for now ebay, amazon, even some things in shops in my city same thing are cheaper then same thing for bitcoin (I didn`t try purse.io where we can buy giftcards for bitcoins and spent it at mentioned sites). I hope that will change, and bitcoin shops will need to think about making some discounts if they wish to attract customers.

I would prefer to use fiat in place of bitcoin for my daily purchases just because fiat has some fixed value. And bitcoin has a potential to grow. Therefore, I will use bitcoin rather as a potential investment. I wouldn't use bitcoin for purchases unless it is really required.

Your arguments are really correct and I think that most bitcoin users do exactly as you say. Bitcoin is a way to earn and spend bitcoin for a pittance will not be reasonable. Yes, and everyday life today without Fiat at all is impossible.

With the current scalability issue, I would prefer to use fiat when buying in local stores.  Aside from that the ever growing price value of Bitcoin is so enticing to keep it and hold it for a very long time.  Unlike fiat that depreciate in value, the diminishing feature of Bitcoin supply gives it a real advantage to keep and save it for the future.

It depends on the situation, if it was online shopping then I would prefer bitcoin because of its convenience in transactions. But if I was paying for my coffee in a hurried morning then I would totally go for fiat money. As bitcoin still have problems about the transaction time, most people including me don't have the tendency to use bitcoin in real life. Like when I bought coffee the other day using bitcoin directly, I had to wait about a half hour for it to be confirmed before I can leave

I will use bitcoin because it will help the community to promote bitcoin in any other places by just using it to pay the expenses and by just using bitcoin as a payment for the expenses is a great way to show to the owners that you like bitcoin rather than fiat and by just that it will encourage other shops to accept bitcoin also.

At first if there's a shop that accepts bitcoin here in my country, I will used both bitcoin and fiat as this are easy way As payment. Anyway here it goes for me its a case to case basis, If i have much more btc in my wallet Ill used it as payment. And, if easy for me to pay into fiat I will use it also as payment.

This is a great trick, being clever on spending money is good especially the fact of fastness and easiness to us users and spenders. And so for me, I can have the same  way of spending my bitcoin and my fiat.

I use mainly BTC because it's much more convenient,but if I decide I want to keep my BTC I'll go for credit card for example.It all depends on whether you want to have more BTC in you wallet or not,and of course if you have another way of payment available

For shopping I would certainly use Bitcoin over fiat and the main reason is anonymity. There are two big problems at the moment: unconfirmed transactions and the small number of people using Bitcoin. What I'm wondering is how are these shops accepting Bitcoin making profit if a catastrophe like Bitfinex happens and there's suddenly a price freefall of +$300? Shops that have been accepting Bitcoin years ago might have had profit over time because of the increasing price, but a quick fall of it would create problems for the owners, wouldn't it?

if in my country has many stores that accept bitcoin transactions maybe I will always use bitcoin as a second currency other than the currency of the real

Well i prefer using Bitcoin for shopping instead of fiat, if there is any possibility to pay via Bitcoin. But unfortunately there is no possibility to use Bitcoin offline in my country, i can only use it online or convert my BTC to fiat.
