Hi

As title states, I am having a tough time getting 5 to run on that mobo, I can get 4 to run just fine, but with the 5th card, I get a code43 (windows not let it function) error for said card in device manager

Here is my setup:

-Gigabyte 990fxa-ud5
-5 x sapphire dual x 7950s (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102963 )
-AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz
-CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 240-Pin DDR3
-cooler master 1200w psu (gold standard)
-64gb ssd
-win 7

I found a thread where a guy named rograz got 6 cards to work on the mobo but said he had a hell of a time, he said he used 1x-16x risers (which I have) and he shorted (a1 to b17) the 16x_2 slot and the 8x slot to get it to work. I did both and no luck Sad

Anyway, I have scoured the internet for info on this and it appears this rograz guy is my last hope. I can't post in that specific thread where he states he got it to work (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=36061.msg847139#msg847139) and I can't send him a PM because I am a 'newbie' so I am wondering if anyone with the ability to PM,plz PM rograz for me (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=13396) and link him to this thread and maybe he can help me!!

Thank you in advance, and that you to this community for it has solved every1 of my issues except this! You guys rock!

edit: do not pm  him for me, i just found out I can pm now! but if you may have an idea for a solution I would love 2 hear!

Hey mate,

Your last line there (- win 7) is your problem. Try your hand at cgminer under linux one evening, then live to tell the tale Smiley

Linux works best. Since most of us use only GPUs, using Linux helps to a large extent in all functions.
