I think it's a good thing that BTC are traceable, keep the US happy. Your thoughts?

This has always been known as a weakness if your desire is to convert BTC to fiat money.

From what I've seen. BTC is traceable only if YOU want it to be. Thats the good thing about BTC. If you don't want to have your BTC transactions traceable then there are measures you can take to make sure it stays anonymous. Its not easy, but it is possible.

Use laundering service. Current ones are admittedly pretty crappy, but it's possible to build one which breaks the transaction chain, completely disassociating your payment from your addresses. Make this a tor hidden service and snack is served!
