So to be clear, Mincoin was bronze to bitcoin and now feathercoin is bronze?

IMO - Currencies should not be anything to another currency if they don't actually improve upon the code in some way.  Someone copy/paste LTC code and called it feathercoin and people are jumping on it?

MinCoin is nothing but a get rich coin for developers. The rewards per block was insanely high for first 3 days. One guy even admitted that he has over 1% of all MinCoins from mining in those 3 days.  FeatherCoin did not have that.

BitCoin: http://bitcoin-kamikaze.com/?father=116900  LiteCoin:  http://litecoinkamikaze.com/ref/2061 FeatherCoin:  http://fckamikaze.com/ref/185  MinCoin: http://minikaze.com/ref/9

10% of mincoins were mined in the first three "days".  Well difficulty was low so those "3 days" could have been even shorter.

IMO - Currencies should not be

Currencies should be whatever the market deems useful. The services and support behind the coins will make more of difference than anything else. What's the difference between western union and money gram for my mom? Nothing.. whatever is most convenient to her based on where she is currently shopping.

As someone in the technology field (which I would assume is a large portion of us), I understand the need for most of us 'geeks' to focus on the aspects that the general market won't care about.  If a coin is deemed useful, it will last. If it's not.. well, you didn't waste your time promoting/developing services and we all win.

Feathercoin has an active development community, I look forward to seeing where it ends up in the following months.

Funny enough my reply to your extremely similar post over on the Feathercoin forum applies here too:  Undecided
So I will quote it....

There is not really much to improve with LTC IMHO, it's pretty much bullet proof and fast anyway,  but trillions (amount of people? Amount of money? You choose) into 21,000,000 or 86,000,000 or even 336,000,000  just won't go....
...Without decimalization. we are already seeing BTC using up those places for small item purchases even a kettle or microwave oven would decimalize you in BTC nowadays Cheesy and eventually LTC will do the same, FC seems an extremely logical transition to me.....

...Why?....I believe that the average person hates working with decimal points (average being 90+% of the population), most geeks don't, but then again we are not average that's why we are geeks Undecided And yes most current & early adopters of all crypto currencies are geeks (whether they admit this or not is a different matter).

....Anyway EG: Most people would sooner pay in whole numbers as opposed to 0.001 BTC or 0.01LTC - well now they can with 10FC etc, etc and their may even be another coin that is x4 (1,344,000,000 mintage) to FC and so on....

...So increasing the amount of mintage of an already proven system (IE: Why try and fix what isn't broken?) really does seem another step in the right direction of this amazing concept/technology.

That's my view anyway and I may also be wrong or right Grin

I can't sell my FTC now because Cryptonit WON'T let me withdraw. Do not use this exchange ( yet ) guys !

+1 double authentication is a great OPTION but to make it mandatory is just silly. I won't be depositing there.

Also, someone please remove me from the sell side (both orders). Thanks.

I will buy Feathercoins for cash money.  PayPal would be preferred and no I am not a scammer.  I've been on here buying and selling for a while.  If you have a better cash transfer idea feel free to let me know.  I can go buy a Green Dot or something if you want.  Real cash, no joke.  Post back as people will have my back.  This is a pain in the "A" way to do this but flipping LTC's is tough on my setup.

I see bids at 16 LTC per 1000 FC...why would anyone mine FC to sell at that price? It is almost exactly the same return mining LTC itself without the headache of selling FC. I for one certainly won't!

Had a great transaction with user psybits today for FC. On the other hand, I have not received 2500 FC from user eurosy after sending him 40 LTC. Just letting the forums know he is not a trust worthy member of this community. Please remove me as a buyer of FC from the exchange, thank you.

Too unstable right now... it was expected, I'm sure they weren't counting on this much traffic considering it's not even on the front page (or wasn't last time I checked). It's certainly a step in the right direction!
