Welcome to YOLOdice's Second Wagering Competition!

If you've never been to YOLOdice, come give us a try and win some prizes!  Our site has super fast rolling, a low 1% house edge, Night Mode, profit charts, leveraged investing (up to 10x!), a newly re-designed autobetter, DiceBot support, and more!  Here's some links to get you started:

YOLOdice Website: https://YOLOdice.com
Our BitcoinTalk Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1674772.0
Our Twitter (We do loads of giveaways here too!): https://twitter.com/yolodicegame

How does this wagering competition work?

This competition will start at exactly 11:00am CT / 4:00pm UTC (right now!), and the competition will conclude in exactly 7 days; next Wednesday at 11:00am CT / 4:00pm UTC.  During this time, any and all wagers made by players will count towards the contest. For those of you that haven't seen it yet, we have a public competition leaderboard that will track the competitors until the last day.  Stay tuned, because we'll post daily updates of leaderboard progression here in the thread as well!

The competition leaderboard can be found here: https://yolodice.com/#stats/scores

And looks similar to this (though once the contest starts you'll see competitors to the right side of this image):

After exactly 7 days has passed, we will screenshot the YOLOdice Wagering Contest leaderboard and announce the winners.

Competition Prizes:

1st Place: 0.50 BTC
2nd Place: 0.20 BTC
3rd Place: 0.10 BTC
4th Place: 0.05 BTC

It's a wagering contest.  You just wager as much as you can.  Any and all bets count.

The age of your account doesn't matter, but only wagers from now until next Wednesday count, as the OP states.  You can't count old bets Tongue  The leaderboard doesnt track those anyway.

Here's the results for the first ~24 hours of the wagering competition!  There's still 6 days left, so you have lots of time to make your wagers!

It seems odd to see a contest where someone can bust thier butt on ONE account to raise thier bets wagered, only to have a person wagering their same funds bounced from one account to their others and effectively winning multiple positions......thats not the funny part though I am afraid...

A person with six places on the winners list makes alot more than the one who takes first place....seems worth it huh??

Hi,

I wouldn't be affraid of people entering the competition with multiple alt accounts. I think it's worth it to fight for the main prize if you have funds to do it. I don't think that distrubiting your wagered among multiple accounts is any better strategy. If someone wants to take a few prizes from the list he also risks that he could lose to the person who throws all his efforts to winning the main prize. It's like winning the gold medal vs winning silver+bronze ones.

We don't forbid it explicitely for one single reason - it's hard to verify if someone is using alt accounts or not. You could always say, that the other account is your roommate's and it's difficult to argue with it.

I don't think it's an issue now. We'll do it this way: we are not changing the rules for this competition, but if we see that people use alts to get more than prize we will try to modify rules for the next one. But I'd rather change the rules so that it's even more worth to get a top single prize than a few lower ones.

Cheers,
Ethan

Here's the daily update with the list of competitors. The pinkish line separates 10 top competitors that would win if the contest would end now.

The last from top-ten players has only 1.405 BTC wagered - you can still join the competition easily!

Good luck,
Ethan
