You started this thread so don't you think you should make the beginning and tell us how much of your wealth you've put into cryptos? I find it weird that people often start such polls and very often do not let us know about their own situation. And what do you think to achieve with that poll/thread by the way? I'm sure if you use the search function you will find several other threads where this topic already had been discussed.

It maybe with the reason of they are just the new investors and just want to figure out the general sentiment of how much people do save with cryptocurrencies. Do you think you will ask such questions after finishing up their investments. (probably possible when you plan to invest further). I do invest up to 5% of my regular job income into bitcoins every month along with my signature campaign earning. Also I do trade bitcoins to grow it further. I do save bitcoins for my retirements.

You will not get helpful information, for at least 3 reasons: * There are many that afford to buy crypto from their regular income, but since cryptocurrencies are about privacy they will not answer. * There are many that don't have regular income or it's too small, they see the crypto world as an extra source of income and this category may not be helpful for you. * Many crypto investors don't hang around on bitcointalk; they are busy with their jobs.

There might be threads that have the same topic like this but the results could be different back then compared to now with the price sitting at $1000+. For OP's question I put like 25% of my savings(estimate) and the bitcoins that I receive from my signature campaign thats all. You could also set a poll by scrolling down below the page it's beside the notify button.

20% for a start for me is great but it will be subject to sporadic reviews to see if it will be wise to bug more down with my wealth.

How much of my wealth is in cryptocurrency? Well, not that much. Just a bit of my extra income. If you are asking for a percentage wise well i can say of... maybe only 30%.. 20% of that is i invested to bitcoin and the remaining is that for some altcoins. I invested large in bitcoin since it is more stable compared to any other alts. I hope you can share yours too.

It was %2 till a few weeks ago but %0 at the moment. I expect something bad to happen. Sharks were buying anything they can get their hands on. PPC, NMC, BTC, ETH, DSH... anything. (it seems it is stopped by these hours btw) Whenever something like this happens, it's followed by even a bigger dump. Slaughter house inc.

as we speak i have close to 30% of my total wealth locked in bitcoin. it was far lower in percentages a year ago, but due to the increased price, the wealth i have locked in bitcoin has greatly outperformed my regular fiat wealth in terms of growth. i am proud to say that i am a happy holder at current levels. i haven't even cashed out a single satoshi this year. i am just holding to see where we are heading to.

Less than 5% of my wealth is in bitcoins.I don`t use any altcoins. The 95% of my wealth are from bitcoins sold for fiat money. I`m not very wealthy, mostly because i discovered the power of bitcoin too late.

here are my questions for you 1. what is this interest of yours, and why do you want to know how much of my wealth is in bitcoin. 2. where is your poll 3. what percentage of "your" wealth is in bitcoin/crypto?

I wouldn't take the risk of investing lots of my savings in bitcoin. Not because I have any doubt or I do not trust bitcoin but because bitcoin is highly volatile. I would rather get some coins with signature campaign, invest it,and hope to grow it with investment.

Yes sorry, I guess it's only polite that I state my own situation while asking others to divulge their own situations/opinions.
For the past year I've been putting about 20% of my income into Bitcoin - whilst purchasing Alts on occasion. However because of the huge growth this has become over 50% of my investments in value terms!
I like blockchain the invention and think Bitcoin the network has a true value case but the risk profile is impossible to calculate - I just wanted to see where others are at and how they view the risk by how much of their wealth they're willing to put into it.

I have nothing in Bitcoin at the minute, and that is the way it will stay for awhile. We are at a stale mate and i agree with vinny lingham that the price is gonna tank, the market will punish us for no consensus.

Total wealth - <10% (but more like 40% of non-retirement savings).
% in BTC as opposed to Alts: Was always ~75% BTC or more until about a week ago, then down to ~66%, then I pulled the trigger yesterday and dropped to 35-40% BTC. I haven't pulled a penny out of cryptocurrency. But the major altcoins are soaring, there are new positive announcements daily (such as Purse adding support for ether/dash/zcash, institutional interest in ethereum, etc.), while there is no sign of a breakthrough in the bitcoin impasse. I have much of the rest of my bitcoin sitting in an exchange now, so I may not be done with my shift.
If you have a lot of past inputs to your wallet (such as ever playing games or faucets in the past), and your wallet has dynamic fee estimation, take a moment to open it and see what it would cost you to empty your wallet in one transaction. I did this yesterday and the median fee to empty it was 0.082 BTC (close to $100). If I wanted fast confirmation the fee doubled. See the problem?

I wish i could easily say 70% but unfortunately for now it is some 2-3% because many people in my family don't think it is better to invest in bitcoin even though the coins which we bought before are really profitable now. For our family most of us have invested in stock market, even though we are profit the return is nothing compared to bitcoin.
