hey guys. Nice to see shipments are already trickling in.
Just fyi: I screwed up with 2 customers (forgot upgrades or additional coins that had been ordered). We're working things out, though.
That's not really screwing up. Just waiting 2 more days... Really, it's not a problem

Received my 1BTC coin Thx guys! I guess my other package will arrive on friday? I just did the certificating proces again (hashed the file etc) Edit: may i ask why you send 0.00025 BTC in stead of 0.00001337 BTC to the certificate adress? When Bitcoin hits 10000$ I think I'll import the private key (I also posted a photo of the certificate and the coin on my facebook page with the comment that when they invested enough time, they could get some bitcoin with the info on the certificate )

Received my 1BTC coin Thx guys! I guess my other package will arrive on friday? We'll send it in about 3 hours, so given the running time of the last package you should have it by friday, yes. I just did the certificating proces again (hashed the file etc) Thank you so much for doing that! I don't think anyone but me ever checked (I did it multiple times, though, of course). So did everything check out as you expected? i.e.: have you been able to prove the existence of the coin at point x in time? Edit: may i ask why you send 0.00025 BTC in stead of 0.00001337 BTC to the certificate adress?
Because at one point my bitcoind said "insufficient funds", so I tried a higher amount and neglected to change it back (the reason for insufficient funds was a different one). (I'm not sure the new dust limit applies. I think it does, because it applies to unspent transaction outputs which are generated, but I'm not sure. Does someone here know the details?). So I just changed it in my script to 0.0001337. That should be above dust treshold and looks equally cool. When Bitcoin hits 10000$ I think I'll import the private key (I also posted a photo of the certificate and the coin on my facebook page with the comment that when they invested enough time, they could get some bitcoin with the info on the certificate ) Hehe, you should probably be quicker than that. We're reusing those funds for new proofs as can be seen in this wonderful transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/53b311e4d7574966f0e4e206a954b11c52a974d302c4df0bd02da197b1854cfaReuse of these fund is imperative (bitcoinicette? blockchainicette?) to be easy on the precious UTXO resources of nodes. Of course this assumes that there will always be at least one full copy of the blockchain available (including also transactions and outputs that can be pruned) in order to be able to conduct the proof of age. I think we can safely assume that, though.

yes Used the hash as private key at bitaddress.org and the generated adress was loaded with 0.00025 BTC. The transaction-id was the same as on the certificate and confirming thus the date of certification Hehe, you should probably be quicker than that. I think we can safely assume that, though. Oh, ok... Don't want to steal Go ahaed and take the certificating transactions back edit: maybe in the future you can send the date as certificating transaction? So for example 0.0130709 if you do it today? But maybe that's to expensive (risk of 'theft')? Or offer it as an additional service and never take back those funds from that coin... Just an idea

I'm not sure what value it would add to encode the date into the amount. One has to look up the tx anyways and the date of the transaction will be right there.

Recently had such a little bag included with a shipment. I thought it was really a nice gesture of the supplier to include a little happy treat like that and decided we should do this, too. Actually I now think Haribo should give them to me for free in exchange for this free viral marketing

Just checked some tracking numbers. The majority of packages has already arrived. 3 people have to pick up their package because postal service wasn't able to deliver it (probably they were not at home at the time) 4 packages are still on their way (to US, US, Norway and UK) or have been delivered but tracking doesn't work. mistakes we made with 2 orders are in the process of being corrected So far all is good .

I'm very frustrated. I made two orders one 5 x 1 BTC coin, and one 6 x 0.5 BTC coin. I paid for my 5 x 1 BTC coin order with BTC on http://physicalbitcoins.openbtcshop.com/. After that I talked with deadterra over Skype and decided to pay for the 6 x 0.5 BTC order with banking transfer and not BTC. Yesterday I recieved the 5 x 1 BTC coins, but I'm missing a shipment of 6 x 0.5 BTC. Deadterra is not even bothering to answering my calls, messages here on bitcointalk or skype.
