Yeah, i wouldn't be surprised if the price recovers to a level that is over $1,100 and we establish that as the floor in the near future. Although bitcoin has crashed in recent days to $900, that was quickly brought back to a $1000+ level which is respectable if you look over the history of bitcoin.

But amidst all the speculation with the fork, there is no real pushing force against price rises.

I would hedge against the bitcoin price, just to be safe.

A good idea to sell a percentage of your total bitcoin balance for altcoins/fiat currencies before the fork happens.

I agree with you. It just proved that bitcoin was strong and it is a good idea to sell a percentage of your total bitcoin balance for altcoins/fiat currencies before the fork happens just to be safe but I wouldn't sell that big of a percent since I know even if the fork happens, we will get both old bitcoin and bitcoin on the hardfork's chain so there's nothing to worry about at all. The only thing I am worried though is the price of bitcoin after the fork if it really will happen.

Its good to see price rising at a moment and $1100 will be achieved in next couple of days but I am expecting much higher price and I am sure if bitcoin touches $1200 once again then there will be many people who will start selling their coins to make profits from it.

Well price plays at some point from $1,030 to $1,050 which is basically fine to me. This is a good thing already that the price landed at $1k.
And for sure, maybe next week or next month we'll see another progress for the price of bitcoin.
I hope all these drama's will end up very soon.

It is always good to see the price of bitcoin crossing the thousand dollar mark and i hope all the drama by the unlimited team will be over pretty soon as they proved time and again that they are not competent enough to carry the task of taking the mantle from the core and all their efforts and advertisement wont reach anywhere and i would like to see another bull run and i do expect that to happen in the coming months.

The Bitcoin price is holding above $1000 which is a good sign. We'll see fluctuation but as long as the trend stays up, dips don't really matter. In fact, they are chances to buy more.

Yes it's a very good sign and we can see that bitcoin is recovering that very quick. We will expect to see the price very soon land at this price, $1.1k

But as long as the price will stay and good at $1k it will always be the best place for all of us, it's like a safe haven for bitcoin holders.

Its been more than a week since the OP open this thread. And it looks like we didn't see a price jump since(still almost $1100). Looks like  this is a correction price right now. But I still feel confident that the market price will rise in a few weeks since FUD has become quieter as well and the BU hard fork has lost its momentum. So let just commit ourselves to get some bitcoin because the price is still good to buy and hold in for the long term or at least the end of the year and see profits.

Not that long ago the price touched $1100 and came back down all the way to sub $900 levels. Currently you may get the impression that the level of fud is calming down, but we'll keep jumping up and down until things are solved. That's why I don't get much excited at this point -- I know the price will fall down sooner or later. In order to move forward, a scaling solution must be put in practice, otherwise we'll remain in an uncertain situation, which on its turn will directly reflect on the market.

Yeah price didn't crash badly even after the ETF rejection and started to recover again and that clearly suggests that people are now not bother about the news around bitcoins and will continue to invest their money in bitcoins and hold it for a long term.

When I woke up 2 hours ago it was $1049 so I was saying it was going to be one of those days just like the last week.
Now it raised $50 in the last half an hour.

I think you are new in the bitcoins. Such Up and downs in bitcoin price are normal . Even i have seen altcoins rising to 200 to 300% in a day. the reason of such fluctuations can be any news, hype etc.

But that is not happening in recent times that if price goes up it will also come down quickly in fact we are seeing slow growth in the price of bitcoins even after falling below $1000 and that is a great sign for bitcoin community so lets hope that price keep on rising slowly and steadily in coming days.

The bitcoin ETF just gives a short bottom dips, and nothing happen after it but the main concern is the bitcoin scalability politic debate.

We broke previous major resistance level – $1100 and found ourselves again on the path of Bitcoin bullish trend.
Unfortunately hard fork possibility is negatively impacting Bitcoin and because of that new ATH is less likely.

As a long term benefit you can save your bitcoins in wallet itself. Price is always been fluctuate in the chart. But seeing the current price value again price is started increasing. We can't blame them if they want a faster doubled bitcoin.
That is their decision though and they are risking their own coins.
Either way, there are people like us who could just wait and hold it until the price would be right for withdrawal.
Think about it, when we reach the 2k price that we want. Are we really going to withdraw or just going to predict again that it will go higher. That goes on and on until we are satisfied.
