There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

this looks cool but only 6 btc buy support and volume per day? easy to manipulate the price, no? I wonder why is it spiking now and if it better to wait for dip or buy now.

I'm one of those guys that is always on the quiet side, but I've been following a lot of people on twitter since the BTC/alts boom in november 2013, and I've followed Romano for 9 months.

This guy is the real deal, the github entries are speaking for themselves. He his an incredibly competent dev that any team would want because he actual does the job done, and in a timely fashion.
I've been in VIA for nearly 3 years, but was loosing hope before Romano took over the project. This coin/project is now probably one of the most exciting out there with tons of new features added constantly and incredible optimizations (like the recent Electrum X one).

Via has a bright future in front of it.

I never do this sort of post (you can check my history), but when I see someone who is genuinely working for a coin while not really being known, without any scam intention, only the will to do construct something great, it has to been encouraged.
Even if this coin never really increase in price, what I'm honoring here is the investment and work already done.

Thank you Romano, you and your dev team, you have my full confidence and respect for what you're doing.

Romano is working very hard on Viacoin, updating us with his progress almost on a daily basis (on btctalk, Twitter and Telegram). He is active on GitHub and GitLab working on Viacoin Core 0.13.2.1 with some other developers.
As a proof he gave me yesterday the current source code of Viacoin Core 0.13.2.1 (which includes segwit and merged mining) and I was able to compile, run and test it fine. I tried syncing a full node and doing transactions, everything worked smoothly.

Also one important thing is that Romano is not rushing any release, he could have released 0.13 with segwit several weeks ago but he prefers to perform any and every test he can think of, to make sure that the release will be perfect. As a software engineer I can tell you this is a really important metric when gauging the skill of a developer.

We'll get to 10k and beyond in no time, I have no doubts about it.  Smiley

Thank you Romano, you and your dev team, you have my full confidence and respect for what you're doing.

I would second that thought on Romano. I've been trading alt coins for the better part of 5 years now. You can go back and look at my own post history - which is to say I don't jump on many coin's bandwagons often. There are a lot of good coins I've invested in but few that I take the time to support their thread or follow what's going on close in the slack/group chat.

I've been following VIA since late October and continue to feel optimistic about the direction this coin is going. I've been buying VIA since the price was in the low 0.00002xxx and have been buying as recent as last night at 0.000052. I still have orders on the books in the mid 0.00005xx because I think this is going to be a winner in 2017.

I'm not going to sit here and say VIA should be a top 10 coin on coinmarketcap because honestly there are a lot of good projects out there with strong development teams, marketing budgets and years of experience under their belt but if I go look at the top 40 coins there are some iffy projects that are in the $8,000,000 - $30,000,000 price range. I wouldn't be surprised if VIA made a push in 2017 to hit the the top 50. As long as Romano is working hard I'll continue to hang around and wait to see.

Holy freaking Jesus Christ, look at all the sockpuppets and shillers trying to hype VIA and the dev Romano..

None of you were even talking about VIA or anything on the old thread

Suddenly all the shills jump once the new ann thread comes out..This is so damn fishy

Yeah man, this scam dev probably paid 5000 $DOGE to these guys to shill his coin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Jokes aside, you do shed some light on a highly unusual aspect of this thread: I've never seen an ann thread where everyone came to worship the dev and praise him as if he was some kind of prophet... are we really on bitcointalk???

On the other hand, Romano seems to be doing his job just like the best crypto teams out there.

Following the VIA story for the past 6 months has been a great show. No drama, just vision, plan, progress and achievements.
Looking forward to a lot more of the same.

(so boss, can I get paid in $SYNX instead? I kept it balanced, just like you said Tongue)
