I guess your life will gets bored if you gonna live forever ....  Grin

I also think that too and Earth would not be able to handle mankind if all can live forever but it can also give you some happiness cos your love ones will never leave you.

I'm hoping to make enough money to invest in immortality research or at least pay ahead for cryogenics. I would love to live forever.
Google around. There's actually a significant effort being made towards longevity research now and it actually seems possible. If we're lucky we might just be able to live until reversing aging becomes a thing, if we're unlucky we could end up the last generation that will die from old age. Grin

Ok it depends, if i could live forever and have the ability to "kill myself" at anytime....then i'd have np living forever.

If i was invincible and couldn't die...nah screw it, i'd still live forever and wander the universe.

Would YOU choose to live forever?

Scientists have made a discovery that could lead to a revolutionary drug that actually reverses ageing.

The drug could help damaged DNA to miraculously repair and even protect Nasa astronauts on Mars by protecting them from solar radiation.

A team of researchers developed the drug after discovering a key signalling process in DNA repair and cell aging.

During trials on mice, the team found that the drug directly repaired DNA damage caused by radiation exposure or old age.

'The cells of the old mice were indistinguishable from the young mice after just one week of treatment,' said lead author Professor David Sinclair.

Human trials of the pill will begin within six months.

Cool

Ummm nope. We are not meant to live forever. And if ever we'd manage to do so, people will also find way to contradict this. And if not, a higher force would do the burden of killing. We are not gods and are never meant to be gods.  Evolution and nature itself should never be altered. This will only result to something bad.

Cool

That would be the stupidest thing humans will ever do. Only GOD can decide wether we live or die. We are just creations and do not have the right to alter what has been given to us already. I really don't see anything good that cam ever come out of this discovery. Yes, human life matters but people die for a reason and this reason gives way for us to multiply. We even have too much addition in population than deduction which becomes a problem for everyone. Thus is just pure bullcrao.

Nah, I'll decide if I can prolong my life myself if I find a way to. And if God ever decides to show up I'll argue with him all day.

Either way, we can just move on to other planets and build higher buildings to counter rising populations, so the only argument you've made is pointless.

Only if it altered the way aging works and either stopped the negatives or halted it completely.

There's a lab in Cambridge that you might want to consider looking into. Several other groups researching longevity as well. The more the better! If I ever get rich enough to sponsor science this will be one of the things that I will fund heavily.

yes I would choose to live forever in the hands of the Lord. I have faith on eternal and everlasting life. I am anticipating the promise of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. No more tears, no worries and sadness.. it would be a great happiness forever..and I will hold on my faith until the last breath on earth. then after that it would be a celebration of life to be with GOD in heaven..

I choose to live forevah if I will not look old, weak and my skin will not shrink. I choose to live forever if that is a Eternal Life that God's offer when We believed and Accept Him as our Lord and personal Saviour  Cheesy

I will choose to live forever only if I will live along with my family, friends and all with my love ones. I don't want to see them go. I don't want to be left behind. It is so painfull. Living forever is like a curse. You will experience many things over and over again. I believed that everything has an end. And has to be end. There's no forever. We must cherish life as long as you live. And when your time come, just accept it.

I don't think i would.  It would be too hard to say goodbye to your family and friends over the years.  Now, if they could stay with me, that would be a different story.

Okay then sir, setting religion aside, please do show me a planet that isn't that harsh or hostile and can sustain human life. Doesn't matter if we start from scratch. Then after that, show me a single ship that can carry even a single human being to that place they say might be a potential earth number 2 without getting smushed or hit by lots of space rocks.

Population growth issue isn't pointless. Building higher buildings to counter overpopulation is what's useless. Just try to consider the amount of materials this earth can provide plus all the terrorism and natural disasters. Yes, we have a lot of great engineers making progress in building big structures that cam withstand some natural disasters, but do you think, of all the abuse the earth is getting today, these natural disasters will stay the way they are and not grow bigger and more disastrous?  earth can only give so much for us to use. Without population decreasing, even more serious problems can arise rhan what we are facing today. Amd it will only be a matter of time till we burn this earth dry.

Think about it.
