Would YOU choose to live forever?

Scientists have made a discovery that could lead to a revolutionary drug that actually reverses ageing.

The drug could help damaged DNA to miraculously repair and even protect Nasa astronauts on Mars by protecting them from solar radiation.

A team of researchers developed the drug after discovering a key signalling process in DNA repair and cell aging.

During trials on mice, the team found that the drug directly repaired DNA damage caused by radiation exposure or old age.

'The cells of the old mice were indistinguishable from the young mice after just one week of treatment,' said lead author Professor David Sinclair.

Human trials of the pill will begin within six months.

"Would you choose to live forever?" This is a very interesting question. Many would quickly say, "Yes, I will." Well, who wouldn't? Imagine the opportunity of doing tons of things in life. You can eat the tastiest food that you like. You can watch all series and movies all day long. You can probably get all bachelor's degrees in the world. You can receive all the recognition you want. You can travel hopefully all places in the world. Isn't it amazing? But, on a second thought, this question struck my mind "Wouldn't this disrupt badly the balance here on Earth?" Population will increase continually. As a result, it will pose a serious threat to everyone. We won't worry about our food anymore. That's for sure. But, housing will be a big issue. I just could not imagine how people will deal with overpopulation in an already overpopulated world. On a deeper thought, "Aren't we too selfish?" We are given this limited life so we can choose our decisions wisely and live our lives to the fullest. "Wouldn't it be boring if challenges in life will be extremely suppressed?" As Natalie Babbit wrote in her novel Tuck Everlasting, "You can't have living without dying. So you can't call it living, what we got. We just are, we just be, like rocks beside the road."

I would not consent to live for eternity. There is no place to rush, there is nothing to do, it will be basically exhausting and uninteresting. By and large, the spirit lives perpetually, however the memory is eradicated before the following incarnation.

Living forever is quite a good idea but for me Id rather not to choose living forever in this world because you got to see your whole family died starting from your parents up to your sons and daughter unto their sons and daughters also. Its quite hard to see that.

If I live forever, I wish everyone would live forever. If only I live forever, I do not want because I have to witness my family, friends, relatives will die. If they die, what do I live on in this world? Without happiness, life is meaningless for me. I think you and everyone are like me.

Nope that would be too lonely all of your friends and love ones are dying and you would still be there to remember all of the memories,
That would really hurt so much it is too painful .

I'd like to live forever, but not to the point where I'm the last human being on earth. That amount of time and experience would allow me to help humanity or I can be like that guy from Superman haha.

If given a chance, I would, but on the conditions that my face and overall body stays young around 27 to 35 years old.
The reason is that, I want to experience life more and learn and teach and many other things.
I am always fascinated by history, series of events that is unfolding, that depends on the action and decisions of the person.
Of course, there will be times that i would feel lonely and depressed because of my very long life and painful to see loved ones gone.
have you seen the movie, "The Man from Earth"? Such a fascinating narrative movie. I really like that movie. And this movie somehow fills my need of living forever and had a glimpse of a man and what its like to have lived around 14,000 years.
