Recently There's a Virus I am victim of it and some of my friends, clients etc are affected too. This is called Copy-Paste Virus. Please be careful while you paste a BTC address or Copy an Address. The virus works like-- You copied a BTC address to send and while you paste it, It changed to other address and the funds sends to other account.

This virus isn't new,it has existed since the early days of bitcoin on the darknet and other hack forums. Virus or not,it's always a good practice to double check the bitcoin address you're sending coins to. You can buy off that code from any hack forums,it's sold openly. Use linux for bitcoin, makes your stuff secure by 80%

To be honest, these kinds of scripts are considered pretty script kiddie levels and they have existed ever since bitcoin first started. If you do not click on any of the pretty obvious "free btc for doing A or installing B" sites and you are not greedy and do not visit weird sites, you should be pretty safe.

the second rule, no matter what virus you want to talk about, is to not download anything from the internet which look shady
the first rule is to set a machine and don't even try to browse on the internet, you will be as secure as it need to be with your coins
besides only a idiot would not notice that the address changed the last second, before sending, i always double-triple check everything...

Yes. And do not just click anything you see on the internet. Maybe you got it from some clickbait or something. And this virus are really good because they can bypass any anti-virus software out there. So just double or even triple check the address before sending it. Worst scenario is to completely wipe out your hard drive and re-install everything to get rid of the virus. But you need to backup first all important files before doing the re-format.

Well even tho I'm careful about anything related to the internet, I think it would be the best to run a scan, just because you can never know. I didn't even know about this one.

This bug/virus has been around for a long time in the bitcoin space and i am surprised to still see so many users post that this is the first time they are hearing about this. Maybe the forum should have a board for people to post information on know bitcoin viruses, other users could check it daily/weekly to get the latest updates of what to watch out for.

That's right. This kind of virus had been discussed here probably a few months ago but now the topic is discontinued and actually, there's already many people out there complaining about this and so does with my friend. People just need to be aware and be sure about the address which they're going to send some bitcoin by double checking and everything will be fine.

Cause I feel that this might have happened on a specific site. I think you should also download zemana software, while trying something of a Bitcoin suddenly I got a lot virus, and that software helped it clean it up. Though before I used to never see the address now I will make sure I double check it.

Wow this is the first time for me to hear it, I do not know if there is a copy-paste virus. Thank you friend already told here, this is very helpful. If I may ask, whether this virus could disappear by regular antivirus? How can I clean it on my computer? I also see the pictures that you post that it would be safe if drag bitcoin address and not copy paste. Is that true ?

Honestly this is my first time hear the virus like that. Whoever made this, I think he is a really smart people. He knows there's no way to insert our address in anywhere but copy-paste it. At last everything must perform with our precision to anticipate loss.
