I've noticed Litecoin is steadily climbing up, often dropping back a little bit but it keeps rising. Given the fact the chinese actually use litecoin, the possible LTC segwit activation and LTC being a good coin in general with a very stable price, i believe we could see a rise to 0.15btc in the next few months.

EDIT: I'm sorry I meant 0.015BTC haha 150$ per LTC would be quite the shocker

Don't dream that price, LTC's ATH was in 2013, the price was 0.05X btc, 0.15 btc, you are joking, we won't even see it above 0.005 btc.

very interesting, do we have any news that i missed which led to this rise. i remember hearing F2pool wanting to activate it a while back but if they activate it won't be 50% it will go to max Smiley

and yeah, if it activates i believe it would be a big step forward for the whole cryptocurrency world.
first it will be a big hype rise for litecoin which can end up being the new ATH record for it.
second it is bitcoin's brother being upgraded and if miners see SegWit in action we may see it activate in bitcoin too and the both coins rise to the moon fast.

right now litecoin is rising irregardless of this. try to enjoy the ride!

Ltc is a buy. The price seems to not ever go far below $4. But there is huge upside potential.

It is well known and seems to be in a better state to allow changes than its big brother.

I'm not looking at the price for Segwit activation but rather than look at what the tech offers to the space, alot has been said of Segwit and I want to know if it worth the hype

well, today everything about litecoin looks awesome.
it started with Segwit signalling growing (now up to 59%) and then followed by a nice dip which provided some good buying opportunity and finally as we can see now price is up to 0.0075BTC=about $8 now.

things are looking good so far with this coin, the buy support is also strong showing the willingness to go much higher.

0.25 btc is plausible the way btc is heading  Kiss

lol i can't see how 0.25 is feasible when no other coins ever went that high, litecoin will not be the first, litecoin is all hype for nothing, just a pump and dump, the creator of litecoin also admit that his coin is a shitcoin, without any real usage, why a shitcoin should go to 0.25? segwit will only be good for another pump and dump pretty much like the last halving

0.015 isn't unreasonable with chinese support and btc fud. We could even see ltc rise with btc. However, there is a fake 1000 btc sell wall on okcoin and poloniex. Most likely creating more fud in the wake of btc pump. I assume this is an accumulation move so I now expect 0.005 low for ltc before retesting 0.01 mid this year.

Do you think it is the chinese that wants the segwit more or is it the chinese just arranging the price pump? Or is it both?

I am not sure if I get behind a segwit adoption for the sake of chinese miners but I can get behind the price pump if its going to stay there, if it is going to be quick buck made by miners than I am not so much supportive.

it could have been a joke before but not anymore the percentage of support has been rising pretty nicely and it is 63.19% right now. i think miners have made some serious plans and as you know litecoin is not so much different from bitcoin which means this may even be a test on litecoin to then move on to bitcoin afterwards.

and this is F2Pool we are talking about, one of the bigger mining pools for both litecoin and bitcoin and it is signaling Segwit support.

anyways, lets enjoy the ride and make some good profit Cheesy

the Chinese don't make any proper use of bitcoin let alone litecoin.

the future's possibly very bright but it won't be down to any fundamentals yet, if ever.

It is a good example of an altcoin delivering something different than BTC, and succeeding in doing it. This shows how altcoins and BTC can exist at the same time, with specific features.
I believe that in the future we will have many altcoins as different groups/needs they fulfill.
