www.cryptofolio.info is diffrent to http://cryptofolio.info in regards to remembering your settings.
If a exchange is down I would like it to make it fall over to a different exchange where possible (and be seamless to the user).

new features:
if vircurex API is down there's a button now to disable DVC, so you can still use the site.  
cookie to remember settings (amounts and currency)

Great site, it's gonna be useful.

Maybe in the future you could make it possible to just input addresses and it would read the exact balance from the blockchain. It's a bit tedious to calculate everything first if someone uses plenty of addresses and does lots of transactions. It's a great site thought, good job.

already tried to do this, I tried to take a shortcut and use the API from places like http://blockchain.info, http://explorer.litecoin.net and the other ABE based block chain explorers...

Doing it this way would make it easier to code, but also make my site depend on more other sites to be up and running.

The problem is that only blockchain.info supports addressbalance with a confirmations parameter.

The todo list lists addressbalance so its not yet implemented, with no mention of a confirmations querystring.

Once I discovered that I would need to look in to the actual network (like a wallet?) to get the information for each transaction, for each coin I unfortunately put it in the to hard basket (for now).

For BTE (Bytecoin), FRC (Freicoin) and others... (IXC, DEV..) you can use this API:

(Freicoin shows 0 right now but that's just because Cryptonit.net  (the exchange for FRC) is currently down)

thanks however:

All pricing is from Vircurex(except Freicoin which is first converted into LTC at https://cryptonit.net/exchange/2/6 then converted at Vircurex to BTC and Bytecoin which has a hardcoded price)

i would probably be better off just pulling from vircurex directly, less sites to be dependent on, ill use his his trick for freicoin though

bytecion and feathercoin will have to wait until I can find a proper exchange rate on a exchange.


I mean feathercoin for instance this morning was 14-16 LTC per 1000k now its like 16-24 LTC per 1000k I cant keep manually updating the site, I would hate for the exchange rate to be incorrect as well.
