...java which is a poor language compared to C++ who is far more powerfull then JAVA, plus, it can't be easily integrated.

It is very obvious from this quote that you're not a programmer.

For using every day: Waves

This is the platform for the future because you can send fiat money very fast and very cheap soon to others. In combination with incent I see in next month similar price as ETH now.

I am supporting Waves and Vcash at the moment as an investment.

Waves offers a cheaper and easier way to fund any project through their token platform. The DEX (Descentralized Exchange) is expected to perform at least 1000  tx per second. The matcher is ran by the nodes, so it is not centralized. It is adding licenced fiat gatewats which will make it very easy to buy bitcoins, waves and any other asset. There are many other things to add but i will not go into all them. Maybe this chart may enlight you better:

Vcash in the other way, is a low market cap community driven coin. It offers Instant Transactions (Zerotime Tech) and private blended transactions. I think it has a great potential to get high volume any time because it is listed on Poloniex and Bittrex and also because most of the coins have already been mined, so it is kinda becoming rare.

I used to like Vcash but afterbut after the set-back done by the developer, I somehow forget about for sometimes.  I can say I really like the feature of Vcash, maybe it is about time to have a peek of it again and check the profitability of it.

I also have Bitsend in my list and XMG both have been around for more than 2 years and have active development and developer.

It is very obvious from this quote that you're not a programmer.

It depends on the point of view of each programmer, i personally don't like java, and all what is made using java. And my preceeding post here was about a benchmark comparing node c++ java.
Have a look at this : https://benchmarksgame.alioth.debian.org/u64q/compare.php?lang=node&lang2=gpp you can also find benchmarks for c++, pyton, ruby, all compared to nodeJS.
And here : https://benchmarksgame.alioth.debian.org/u64q/compare.php?lang=java&lang2=gpp for java/c++ benchmarks.

I’m supporting monero because I think something like it needs to be incorporated to bitcoin so bitcoin becomes a truly anonymous currency similar to cash and also because that will help the fungibility of the coins.

I'm supporting monero too because I can see a very good future for it. I thought first that it is something that won't grow. But as the day goes by, I'm seeing a lot of good things that is happening on it. And still I'm going to keep on having my ETH because for me it's very consistent and considering it's market cap is still good.

I'm just starting to research alts and right now bitbay has my attention. It looks like it has a lot of potential. I'm listening to the Zimbeck interviews and he sounds like he knows what he's talking about and has a lot of passion/determination to make it succeed and has some good ideas. I'm going to take up a small position and keep researching it.

Hi All,

It would be interesting to know which Altcoin(s) are you currently supporting and why are you supporting them.

This will greatly generate insights to new adopters and help them get in cryptos.

In addition to BTC, I am holding ETH because of the technology as many new altcoins are developed using ETH blockchain. So for me this is a valuable digital asset for the future of cryptos.

Please share your thoughts on this thread.

All the best!
I am currently supporting bitcoin and lisk. Am supporting bitcoin because, it currently serves as gold standard for other coins and the crypto currencies that has support from all work of life. I also support lisk and wish it increase in price because this is the only coin that gives me a return of over 200% last month.

How is Lisk compared to Waves. I can see it is obtaining the same value over time as waves. Do expect it to last?

There are five categories that I support the best altcoin for this year
1) Monero
Using the power of a distributed peer-to-peer consensus network, every transaction is cryptographically secured. Individual accounts have a 25 word mnemonic seeds displayed when created, which can be written down to back up the account. Account files are encrypted with a passphrase to sure they are worthless if stolen. Monero uses a cryptographic voice system that lets you send and receive funds without your transactions seen publicly in blockchain (a distributed transaction ledger). This ensures that purchases, receipts, and other transfers remain private by default. By utilizing a ring signature, a special property of a particular type of cryptography, Monero allows transactions that can not be tracked. This means the ambiguous funds that have been incurred, and thus it is highly unlikely that a transaction can be attributed to a particular user.

2) Litecoin
Litecoin is a peer-to-peer Internet currency that allows instant payment payments close to zero to anyone in the world. Litecoin is an open source, fully globalized payments network without central authority. Math secures the network and empowers individuals to control their own finances. Litecoin has faster transaction confirmation times and better storage efficiencies than the leading mathematical currencies. With substantial industry support, trading volume and liquidity, Litecoin is a proven commercial medium with Bitcoin.
Blockchain Litecoin is capable of handling higher transaction volumes than its counterparts - Bitcoin. Because of the more frequent block generation, the network supports more transactions without the need to modify the software in the future.
As a result, traders get faster confirmation time, while still having the ability to wait for more confirmation when selling larger ticket items.
Wallet encryption lets you secure your wallet, so you can view your account transactions and balances, but are prompted to enter your password before you spend litecoins.
It provides protection from viruses thieves wallets and trojans as well as sanity checks before sending payment.
The current miner is provided with 25 new litekins per block, the amount halved every 4 years (every 840,000 blocks).
Therefore, the Litecoin network is scheduled to produce 84 million litecoin, which is 4 times as many units of currency as Bitcoin.

3) Ethereum
Ethereum is a decentralized platform running smart contracts: apps that run exactly as programmed without the possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or third-party intrusions. This app runs on custom-made blockchain, a powerful shared global infrastructure that can move the value around and represent ownership of the property. This allows developers to create a market, keep a list of debts or appointments, move funds according to instructions given long ago (like a will or futures contract) and many other undiscovered things, all without middle man Or counterparty risk.
