Why he cant just generate indefinite amount of bitcoins for him and exchange it to real cash, right? Any thoughts?
The moment Satoshi would do this (the problem is that he won't quite be able to do it, but let's forget about it) the value of bitcoins would plummet to...guess what 0.
This is the basic selling point of bitcoin , limited supply.

Once we mess with this it's just like printing fiat.
It would be like fiat yeah and I think it wouldn't have the same glory it has now, it will just be like the others, a shitty altcoin with a low price. It wouldn't be the crypto-currency king if bitcoin creator can generate many bitcoin in the first place. Bitcoin without the limited supply would not be the bitcoin we now know if the supply numbers will be changed.

We all know Bill Gates the owner of microsoft is the most richest man in the world. Total wealth of $80 Billion US dollars. While satoshi nakamoto the owner and founder of bitcoin only have $1 billion US dollars, Why he cant just generate indefinite amount of bitcoins for him and exchange it to real cash, right? Any thoughts?

Hhahaha , this can't be real....

Right now top miners are keeping silence on this matter

But what we can do if they decide that the time has come to lift the bar? Bitcoin will certainly crash on this rumor alone, but then they will certainly backpedal on this issue. After a few iterations of this process people will get used to the frictions as well as be ready to accept the changes and not give a fuck anymore about Bitcoin cap or whether it remains the same. As the proverb goes, a little can go a long way while small strokes fell great oaks

I don't think Satoshi will cash in all of those Bitcoins. Even if he cashed in some of them, the price of Bitcoin would probably drop because people would expect all of the coin to go back into circulation.

You're entirely right in my opinion. Having a hard cap on the amount of Bitcoins that exists regulates the supply in a way that everyone knows, and we can already see how something like this has impacted other altcoins and what the results of their experiments were. Changing the cap, even by just one or two, entirely throws off the trust in the cap and sets a prescient where anyone can start to change up the cap even more if they wanted to.
Not sure why the person you're replying to thought that printing money is a legitimate strategy. Oh well, I guess this thread is babby's first economic lesson.

So far Satoshi is still unknown, then there is no way to really determine whether he is richer and even be able to value his wealth. and until now bill gates still richer in the world, i think if satoshi nakotomo richer  can publish , because in this country satoshi nakamoto still pay TAX

i don't think that satoshi will cash out his all bitcoin right now and i think he only cash out small part of his bitcoin. even we don't know who is he, he still can withdraw and enjoy his life and maybe he only laugh to see the bitcoin price now is really higher than he can imagine before (or he did). but i am sure that satoshi is richer than bill gates depend on bitcoin price that is going to increase more by years. we still don't know how much bill gates wealth and we don't know how much bitcon satoshi safe in his wallet.

Of course he can be richer than Bill Gates if he only chooses to stay and lead bitcoin users. Yet why did he instead decides to become anonymous? For some reason he dont want to
Give me more explanation about your answer. as we can see the bitcoin is for everyone. In fact, you can read the market capitalization of bitcoin.
Bill gates have over thousands billion. and it is not comparable with bitcoin.

Bill gates has billions but he does not creat that amount he work for it. Unlike satoshi who can create his amounts easily which is richer the creator of the currency or the user? Of course it is pretty obvious. Its a peer to peer yet you cant deny the fact that he can have as much bitcoin as he wants

then, what is the exact reason of satoshi not moving his bitcoin even a cent worth of bitcoin, a little movement could affect the whole crypto world?

The problem is that many do not know about the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, maybe if he wants to reveal his identity to the public he could be richer than the Bill Gates.

Exactly, Intead of Him taking the pride as the founder of the crypto currency he instead decided to remain silenced and hide his identify due to security reasons. If he continues to take pride then he might be in jail right now

How does revealing his identity would make him richer. The basic design of bitcoin is that the early adopters had the biggest share and since Satoshi had a good stack of coins it is known that he has not moved a lot of coins he has mined ,i really doubt if there is any kind of movement in the coins saved by satoshi there would be a massive panic situation .

Well we as connoisseurs and bitcoin seekers can only guess what kind of identity Satoshi Nakamoto, and I remain proud as the founder of crypto currency he instead decided to remain silenced and hide his identity for security reasons or whatever.

That is what satoshi nakamoto is doing, he still silenced and he don't have any plan for showing his identity because that is very dangerous because he got a lot of money and people who want money will hunt him if he showed his identity or even his face in the public or in the tv. Satoshi nakamoto is one of unknown rich person in the world and i think he will die without showing his identity to us.

As far as we don't know the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, we can't consider him as the richest man in the world.

Firstly, regardless of what you’ve read, satoshi has been missing for years, he’s either in hiding or dead.

He has around ~1 million bitcoins, even though he is not nearly as rich as Bill Gates, his bitcoins are worth around 1.3 Billion dollars which is alot. Satoshi can't just magic up more bitcoin at will even if he was still an active member of the bitcoin community, the only way to generate bitcoin is through mining, and he will need to invest tens onr hundreds of millions of dollars to mine enough bitcoin to put him on the same playing field as Bill Gates, the price per bitcoin will also need an increase if this is ever going to happen.

They can decide whatever they want.
"We" whatever 'we" means can fork the coin and keep it as it was previously.

Well I guess technically it them who are going to fork it to make it unlimited but you've got the point.

The biggest problem is what the sheep are going to follow, and that might be a moment when you realize the world is made of stupid bipeds

No one knows the exact reason for that

Maybe, he has already passed away since some folks are claiming that Satoshi was Hal Finney who died in 2014 or Dave Kleiman who died a year earlier, or he might have destroyed the keys himself and now doesn't want to appear in the public eye any more. If these coins were moved, no one could predict what effect that would create. Some think that the price would crash, while others insist that it would actually provide support to Bitcoin since its founder would be still alive and kicking

Its possible since bitcoin price does still continue to rise and others said that satoshi holds up 1M bitcoin which means he have $1B as of now on the current price of bitcoin and what if it would go 10k or 100k or so on? Possibilities would be there that he might be even richer than bill gates but for now no one still knows about on where satoshi is.
1bitcoin = $10,000? I think it's impossible to reach I think it will take 15 years or more to reach that amount because if bitcoin unlimited started hard fork in bitcoin, the price may drop by 50% and also if the government of china bans bitcoin (I hope not) it would affect the price greatly and also there are many factors to affect the price.

The assets of Bill Gates is considered to be fixed and its value is not fluctuating and thats why Satoshi Nakamoto could not be much richer than Bill Gates at this point of time. But later in the future when bitcoin hits 1 million dollars each then possibly thats the time that Nakamoto could be more richer than Bill Gates. But there is a downfall on bitcoin if Satoshi Nakamoto dumps his bitcoin and convert it to cash so he can compete in terms of wealth to Bill Gates.

You never know when and what the real Satoshi will be thinking,if he really wants those coins he have saved at the beginning he will move now or at a later time and no one can stop him from doing that. The price of bitcoin will crash only if he plans on dumping all of his coins which is highly unlikely other than that if the coins moves we might see a minor correction because of fear that he might dump everything.
