Most people don't get it, if BU wins.... EVERYONE loses.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the world, and lose his own soul?

BU's issue lies in the devs and their QA (or lack thereof).
As a proposal itself, it's more in line with Satoshi's vision than SegWit is.

OK - we are now stuck on 36.8% and a bit less than that for Core.  So, there will be no fork and no change.  Blockstream wins.

We need to make the rules such that the parties that don't vote, don't count.  It will be very hard to get over 50% when so many miners are not indicating SegWit or BU.  When throwing away the non-voters, we are presently at >51% for BU.  Enough for a fork today.

People already voted:

Nobody cares about BU except Roger Ver and Chinese Mining Mafia. Better luck next time.

If the BU wins, we will get big block and smooth transactions. If the Core adopts the big block, it is even better.

Maybe there will be more people disagreeing with me, but I do not want bitcoin branching, so I'm glad if this is the end result, I'd like bitcoin to be it, without any Any changes including segwit and BU. However, if mandatory fork occurs and bitcoin core can not survive, I will choose segwit, since every angle I see it is still better than BU. BU is just a false thought that is destroying bitcoin.

I think the panic now has subsided, and Bitcoin Unlimited is no more, for now. I have reads articles and they said that this is the second time that hard forking failed, but it is not really surprising because there are only a few that cares about Bitcoin Unlimited, and they are the stupid ones, I think there will be no hard forking again for a very long time, I think the solution for the long confirmations and large fees are the only problems now.

Oh well, I hope you are right. I for one is not inclined for BU to happen though there are also many posts here praising and evangelizing for the  beauty of this choice. Sometimes I am really confused as who is telling the truth and what group is really working with the interest of all stakeholders in mind. I now realized that Bitcoin is a failure in changing human nature as we are bringing both our strengths and weaknesses into the real of cryptocurrency. Hope the best will win eventually here.
