Hi!
I'm working with my team on project called "ArenaPVP". It's a website where you can play multiplayer games like a League of Legends for real money! There is still a lot of work to do, so we organized a campaign 2 days ago to gather needed funds on indiegogo. We are going to accept payments and withdraws in Bitcoins. Nice project. To make it clear, so the site is a medium, how the match works? Means after the teams already make a tournament and ready to play, the platform will pop-up into game? How to determine a match is over and determine the result? Are you will be a spectator?

You are not creating anything new,just connecting ways for people to play/battle together.I don't get one thing though,how do you simulate the games ? Does your web server has the games pre-installed and you just host them or you allow us remotely connecting to your game servers ? You haven't mentioned anything about bitcoins on the campaign funding page,now if you're not ashamed  of using bitcoins,please do mention it there too. Tongue

Forgive me if i commit some grammar mistakes...

On site, a user who create a new clan is a captain. Captains can create new tournaments, after he choose a size of it (small - 4 teams with 5 players participating, medium - 8 teams with 5 players, and big - 16 teams with 5 players). When he already set a size of tournament, he must set a:
- Tournament name
- Maps
- Start date of tournament (Year, month, day, hour)
- Match stake ("Match stake" is a amount of money taking from each player participating in tournament, which is holding into "match pot". For example: Captain set a match stake to 5$ in tournament for 4 teams with 5 player in them. Then this 5$ is taking from each player account who belongs to the clan, and it's transferred into match pot. Thats give 4x5=20 players in this tournament so the match pot is 20x5$=100$-10% of service commision, thats give a 90$ for a winner clan! 90$/5=18$ for each player!) Minimum match stake is 5$ (The stake is set every 5$. Thats mean 5$,10$,15$,20$...) and there is no limitations for maximum stake.

Game can be spectated by all. There is unlimited number of tournaments what can be played at the same time on our site.
After completing all the proces with creating a tournament, there is generating a links for all players who belongs to this captains clan. In that link every player from clan can see tournament conditions set by captain. If EVERY player from clan accepted a conditions, then that tournament starts to be visible to other clans. If other clans wants to join to this tournament, then is has to be done almost in the same way as a creating of tournament. Captain from other clan have to save his clan to participate in the tournament, if he do that, then to the rest of players from his clan receive links with tournament conditions to accept. If every player accept it, then officially a new clan has ben saved to tournament. If numbers of clans required for tournament start is filled properly before expire of start date, then system generate a "Tournament codes" for participating clans, which are sended to each player about 30 minutes before start. Tournament pairs are also drawn by a system. From each pair, system choose a "waiting room captain" who is responsible for starting game after all needed players join. Thats allow to start two or more matches of tournament at the same time.

Game is not preinstalled on my page, every player uses his own copy of game from his computer. After player receive a tournament code, he starts a game launcher and then login in to his account, choose "play", then choose "custom game"---> Tournament codes, and here he paste a code what he received from my page and click on "join the game". Now he is inside of "waiting room" and waits until all players gather here. Next step is a "lobby" where players choose a characters, and after that a game is start.

If match is finished, our page systems downloads all statistics of the game from Riot servers by ID, and match pot is splitted to all players from winner clan (After charging 10% of service commision).

If required number of teams participating in tournament is not going to be filled before date start, then this tournament is cancelled and money returns to players.

If required number of teams in tournament is filled before start date, but in "waiting room" some players are not join in, then tournament is going to start anyway, so choose your team mates carefully.

Every information about a tournaments, matches inside of tournaments, and players are visible by a admins. So if "waiting room captain" going to ban another player (yes he can, it's a game feature and we can't change it) then match is cancelled after it's someone report this to admins that captain going to lose ALL his money from his account, and his account will be banned.

We can gather all this informations using a API keys from Riots. We have this API already integrated with a site, but size of functionality is enormous. Our hired programmers after a month of learning this API, met it in about 80% already.  

I'm a user of closed community of developers related to League of Legends game. There are peoples who working on their own project and wants to know if they ideas are possible to achieve, and gets some help from Rioters (workers of Riot studio) or from other users. As I know, this project is possible to achive, I've speak with a Rioter. Our programmers are conviced too, that this project is going to work Smiley

Unfortunatley, this consume a lot of money, thats why we decided to start a crowdfunding campaign. If i miss something in description or something is not described correctly, then I'm sorry, I'm tired already because in my country is a 00:31 AM, and it's was a hard day...

We also have an contract with company dealing with safety and legality in online business. Everything is legal, there is no gambling. Unlike gambling, here the result depends on you and your team. We are not have in plans to put ads on website. That will give a some boost.

Based on what you said above. Your site is all about Multiplayer Tournaments right? And you are getting a 10% commission every tournament that will finish. I was wondering, what if not all the clans registered in the same time. Meaning, you will need to handle like 3-4 or even unlimited number of tournaments at the same time. Could you manage that? And suggestion, maybe you can make public the standings in every tournament instead of only the clan leaders. Anyways, all those things are normally encountered by a freshly created project.

As what I am seeing, you have a great plan to your project. And if you properly executed those, I can say that this project will be a successful one. Anyways, I've bookmarked this thread for further info about this project. Please keep us updated with the improvements happening  Cheesy Cheers !`

I think that all from this what I described already is possible to execute Smiley Our programmers working on that very hard, they are working even in weekends. If they finish learning an API from Riot already, then works should go fast, until we go bankrupt  Cheesy Beggining of this project starts in 2015. There was a idea to create this. 2016 was a year of planning, first works, upgrading a mechanism of site and much more. In 2017 project will be released to public. We sacrificed to much time, stress, money and fight already... This project will work at any cost! If our crowdfunding campaign will fail, then we have to finish it anyway, there is always a other way Smiley

Everything will be properly tested before official launch. We are going to rent a large place where we going to connect a 80 computers for testing a mechanism of site after all works will be done. We have a lot of friends what will help us in testing Smiley There will be tested all kinds of tournaments, from small to big and we will participate in that physically to be informed in real time about errors or improvement ideas.

Number of tournaments played at the same time are going to be limited only by a servers capabilities. Anyone can spectate a game and all tournaments will be operated by our system integrated with a site.

For now only a clan captain can create a tournament. Every clan can create only a one tournament, after finishing it, they can create another one. There will be a chat system inside of clans, where captain can posts about tournament create intentions, or other member can suggest it too.

If crowdfunding campaign will fail, then we release this site only in my country for now, until we get a funds for releasing it to other countries. This picture is a background of site, Riot didn't want to remove it so i was use this as a safe option. We are not in any parnership with Riot to be clear. We just use their API after completing their requirements (TOS).

Actually if you look at it.Releasing the game in your country will work in your favor on so many levels.Imagine you get a crowdfunding and you release it globally but your product fails.The chances of you making it back in the market in that case are slime.If you release the product in your country as a test/beta version,you can get feedback from the users about their experience which can help you to improve the product before you release on an international level.

It's not that simple, we need money for servers. Currently VPS server where site is hosted will be good we think for traffic on small/medium size (thats a good result in my country). Professional translations to most popular languages are needed too, especially in TOS and Privacy Policies. Integrating a foreign payments systems to operate in other currencies and allow to make a fast payments processed in automatic way by system. Bitcoin is a universal currency and not a very difficult to make it available as payment or withdraw option, but it's not quite popular as fiat currencies, so it can be treated as an option. Promotion of website on world scale will consume most of those funds we think. Without a good advertising campaign on start it's will be hard to succeed.

...If you release the product in your country as a test/beta version,you can get feedback from the users about their experience which can help you to improve the product before you release on an international level.

It's true, we are considering that scenario too.

Site is nerby finished. Today I received a big report from programmers with completed tasks, we need to make a small changes but all mechanisms will be ready in 1-2 days. We have to make a "Knowledge base" for new users, thats a some kind of tutorial how to use a site. After that we are going to make a tests of tournaments. Site will be available only in Poland, if everything will work correctly, then we release it to other countries  Smiley
