Is that a single 700 W PSU for your rig?
Sorry son, won't make it.
No, it is 2*700 PSUs, on the picture you can see only the first one.

6*470 Saphire 4g
h81 btc 2.0
ram 4 gb
g1840
2 psu hyper 700w

If you dont have this you should buy:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261934504230  (to connect/sync both psu)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131930469208  (great quality and cheap power switch)
Hi,
Thanks!
Can I directly plug first psu with mobo and 2-3 cards and the other 3 cards with the second one without using any additional gadget? I do not want to safe 3$ into buying a split, but it will take time to order and deliver, I want to start mining now
Thanks
I've heard about many people using directly 2 PSU without any sync for months, so I think that you are fine.
Just be sure that the same PSU powers both the riser and the GPU

If you used powered USB riser, it is not a problem.

So how is your rig going? Do you have any ROI calculation ready or is it too early?

I also Pulledthe trigger and built a 4 GPU Rig!!

Got the Asus RX 470 from newegg $600- $120 mail in rebate (had a friend buy 2 so i can maximize ROI)
4 powered Riser $40 amazon
1 new 1000watt PSU 80+ GOLD EVGA = $139.99
$5 for wood to make the case

Recyled old HPE 170T PC which had motherboard and 8GB Ram with i7 860 and the mother board had 1 x16 and 3 x1 PCIE slots so i was capped out at 4 RX 470
also had 128GB SSD lying around so recycled that.

Total out of pocket Inv: $665 Currently doing about $6 on Ethereum per day after electricity cost (620 Watts @0.11cents) getting 95MH/s only modded 2 RX 470 for some reason other ones crashes the system. got 2 Hynix and 2 Elpeidia memory. I have pushed it to 106 MH/s but Energy draw is 680 Watts.

ROI if ethereum doesn't crash and difficulty doesn't rise too fast around 120 days or 4 months.

Getting around 0.15-0.16 Ether per day I spent around $665 to build a 4 RX 470 Rig.

so with the eth price $48, it will ROI in 4 month ? 1.5eth every 10 days

Yes and No #1 difficulty will rise for mining
#2 Price maybe volatile
#3 My cost was cheaper because i recycled a motherboard processor fan , Hard drive and Ram. you are looking at additional $150 maybe more if you are building the rig from scratch.
#4 Electricity cost
But if the price and difficulty stays stable yes 4 months is realistic breakeven point.

Really nice rig Smiley

One of the things I like about GPU mining versus Asic mining is that they are waaaay less noisy than their Asic counterparts.

If I had to build a rig myself I would go with a setup like yours.

Currently dual mining eth+dcr on 163mh and 4890 mh 950w power consumption.

You're getting 163 Mh/s out of your 4 card rig or is it out of both your 4 card rig and your 6 card rig together?

We are 2 different people gondel build 6 card rig i Built 4 card rig which gives me 100MH/s on ethereum I don't do dual mining because it runs hot + higher watts.

I went the route of budget buy spending only $655 to build 4 card rig.

x11 like dash coin is asics only gpu farms are unprofitable for x11

x11,x13,x15,quark etc are all asics now, very rare to be gpu profitable in those coins.

Obviously excluding eth.

There are alot of small or Altcoins they are good for GPU mining AMD gpus rock for ethereum and Nvidia GPU are good for Equihash based coins such as Zcash, Zclassic, zen cash etc.
