What did you buy for money won?

Most of my gambling experience comes from playing Poker, I've won quite a few local tournaments, and have also participated at low level in international tournaments so I've won a fair amount of money due to that. The most expensive thing I've purchased solely with gambling winnings is a car, nothing special or fancy, but still a fair achievement.

I have a few friends who have been far more successful than me, and have managed to purchase extravagant items, so it's definitely possible if you have the right luck or mindset.

It's often discussed here that you can't make any money from gambling, but in general it's just not true. House edge is usually quite low so the most of the money go back to players. Of course some one wins more than he bet, some one wins less and loses in the end. It's all about luck. I am sure that the most of you was lucky at least once and made some nice money. So my question goes here: How did you spend this money? Did you buy some presents for your close ones? Did you buy something for you? Did you invested it, saved it or even put back into gambling (and then made even more or lost it?)?

I am not very lucky in gambling but of course there are times that I am winning. If I get big amount I will save money buy some for my parents like food or clothes and buy something for myself. But I only get small amount, maybe I can just buy thing(s) like clothes, shoes, or bag for myself that will serve as a souvenier for winning a game.

I found other facts related to what gamblers do with the money they win. There is something strange to me. Some of them will be very stingy even to meet their own needs. Those are the people who will continue to use the money they have to gamble over and over again. It seems their live is just for gambling.

It is not something strange, it is just the mind they have attributed to gambling which has made them turn to an addict and all the single money they end up having, they just want to gamble it all away. I wonder why anyone would be operating in the real sense with this kind of mindset anyway when there are other better things they could have done with their life to make things easy for them rather than throwing their life away into the garbage.

Have you ever gambled along with them ? Without verifying them, do not believe into gambling profit stories even they are from your close friends. Because, I have not seen any such gambler who is mature enough to leave off their profits until withdraw.

Bought my first Macbook from from latest winning. LOL. Been contemplating of really having a good and sturdy laptop and my winning is enough to get me a entry level Macbook Air. Was happy that I bought it because for sure that winnings will be lost again if I go online and play or going to a land based casino. So its better off to invest on something that I frequently used like laptops. I think I made one of my best purchases so far from my winnings.

As i had experienced, quick money always followed by gone quickly. It is not the same with the money we earned from a hardworking job. Mostly, if i won in a casino, the first thing i did is to go home and asked for my family to get dressed and have some special dinner outside. Then call my close friends and invite them to have some drinks on my treat. And ofcourse i give some to my parents and also with my wife’s parent. Usually that is the routine everytime i won. But not the same thing with my salary ofcourse.

It could be better if you are just going to save it for good reason, I suggest not to use your profits on playing gambling again because I assure you will just lose it againts the house. But if you are going to use it to buy something you want, be sure that would be a worthy thing to be bought or else you are just wasting your money.

Do you feel a loss when your internet quota runs out., but whereas you do not get the gambling winnings that you bet on it, or is winning in gambling is an additional fund to fill your internet quota?
For me, because this is the entertainment thing for me or just for fun, I prefer to buy something I want like buying a goods or foods + drinks.

I haven't won anything from gambling in a very long time, Because of that i have taken a long hiatus from gambling and will only start when i feel it's right but i believe that the World Cup is the perfect time to start gambling again.

What did i buy in my son money? For me is I'll buy or use it to have a small business and I buy house and lot . I wnt to used it in my family health.

That is a good plan actually. Half for saving and half to invest your money to get more money. For me personally, i also keep half of my money won and half for other stuffs, like investment, gambling and trading.

Hey that's a smart strategy I'm following this too, I have made a financial plan, and with each saving I keep on diversifying my assets, normally in the past I considered stocks, bonds but now I have made more investments in bitcoins with a aim to reap more benefits. With my other half money, I spend one fourth on charity, as I always believe in giving back to the society, rest I buy gifts for my nieces and one or two gadgets or plan a trip for myself.

I have purchased some logos for myself and for my website, I was always looking for some decent coins so I could hire the best designers out there and when I first won anything and had decent amount of bitcoin the first of that went straight to a designer so he can design a logo for me and my website. Let me tell you, it worth every single penny of it, I used to go around in horrible logos, now I have this slick amazing logo and than I rehired the dude to redo my website as well and it looks amazing. Paying someone who knows what they are doing on stuff like that really makes a huge difference to it.

For me if i will be given a chance to win,  the half of it  will just keep it for my kids emergency savings. The other half will be spending some of it for treating my kids for my lucky that I won and buy something that is useful in our daily life.

And we must always remember that not everyday is our lucky day so we need to appreciate and control spending your money for nothing. Also,  if you win and you lose in the next round better to stop playing that day because you might lose your money and the money you won.
