i cant seem to connect my gridseed usb bitcoin miner to cgminer or bfgminer they both wont detect it but i know windows detects it in the device list
can someone please help or tell me what to do

I see that you need help and I think I may be able to help you so you said that "they both wont detect but I know windows detects it in the device list" I would say you should try to right click it and click troubleshoot

If it is dual miner is one cgminer version.
If not is a different cgminer version.

you might need to install additional software for it to work. some things need that you could look it up hope this helps you!

what model of miner?

This makes a difference...




My first assumption is the driver most likely needs zadig'd.
