There are thousands of known US military bases - as well as NATO (aka U.S.A.) ones - in Europe, more than in any other continent. Most of these bases are mainteined by European taxpayers.

The number of secret installation is - obviously - unknown.

You cant really blame European members under NATO control to try and defend themselves from Russian aggression.They are just trying to defend themselves and have measure in place in case Russia attacks.  I remember Russian attacks in Georgia and Crimea very well.

It's natural that American army protecting Europe.
American army is strongest in the world and in Europe we have a lot issues with Russia, terrorism etc.
It's based on agreement between Europe and America, any way.
I don't see anything wrong with it.
In the first and second world war Europe and America, together, won and created new, better world.

Perhaps you are right that Europe is very much connected with America and even performs many actions only with the permission of the United States. But we still need to take into account, this Europe is a lot of countries that make a decision only after a general discussion. And everyone will not dance to the music of the United States.

I don't mind them having forces in the EU. They are renting land in exchange for military training and equipment, so the governments are agreeing to their presence. Also, I'd prefer to have a US outpost in my country than a Russian one.

That red point in Russia is Ulianovsk, which is not a Nato base, but a logistic place used by NATO to move armies and weapons. Nothing strange.

How about adressing the fact, that many of those dots are in Russia, China etc.? While I agree that Europes foreign policy is heavily influenced by US foreign department, there is also flip side. Europeans did not pay for their own defense in decades.

Germany, by far most influental country of the Union, spends less than 1% of its GDP on military, that despite the fact taxation is far, far higher than any in the North America.

The European Union is basically an American colony, just like the GCC nations, South Korea, Japan.etc. But at the same time, the Americans grant some sort of sovereignty to nations such as Japan. But as far as the EU is concerned, there is no sovereignty.
