Are there plans to extend the range of payment options on mtgox?
LibertyReserve dollars are very tricky to get hold of, and get rid of. And buying them through sites is extremely slow, with fishy smelling sites in Nigeria etc providing the exchange. Is that really the only option?
I know of the paypal scams, but aren't there any other online payment providers that don't have the problems paypal has?

That's a good option. But where are you located? I'm in the Netherlands, I don't really feel like sending money via international mail. I'm in the US. I can understand not wanting to send money via international mail. Though, I do have one customer doing just that right now. |

The best option is to set up a network of local exchangers in every country who can do business through bank accounts.

bitcoinexchange overall is probable very good, if the spreads would not be horrendous. I had a look into this a couple of days ago and the premium vs. the other exchanges was huge (20% - 30% more per BTC!)
Based on last nights offers, spread is lower at 14%. Still significant, but better than no BTC :-)

Considering no fees for transfers or other currency exchange, this is not much much more than the spread between high and low on Mt.Gox on a typical day. |

At the same time, they need to make it easy.
bitcoinexchange is great for Europe folks, and we need something similar in US, Asia, Russia, etc.

If you want Bitcoin to have lots of flourishing exchanges, you have to let the exchanges make money.
People who complain about "excessive" profit margin at an exchange should open a competing exchange.
That isn't what is being discussed here. The spread is between the highest user bid and lowest user ask. It will come down as more people use the market. I don't know what the fee is, but I'm sure it is much smaller than 14%. |

Liqpay is probably the way to go from all soft money.
It has the best anti-fraud protection. From my googling it seems that it is almost fraud-free.
