All DX11 games, on 6900 cards, will lock your PC if you start it while mining, DX9 games are working fine. I did not test DX10 games.

You are completely incorrect, I am loving my 6990 eyefinity, a yummy 60fps max graphics with one core and 400mhashes with the other.

When i obey this threads 'ruleset' we'll call it, (and i just tested this) i get a horrible 139mh/s per core(2) but the game still gets a solid 60fps+

Maxedout Eyefinity on Crysis2 with the Adavanced Graphics Tweaker
Notes:AA is disabled.
All forms of PhysX are disabled
         Windows7UltimateX86
         -v -w128 -f350

You are completely incorrect. Crysis 2 is DX9 unless you patched it with 1.9 AND the DX11 patch. Thing that you did NoT do not for sure, too many FPS with only 1 6990.

http://www.ctrlaltkill.org/2011/06/27/crysis-2-dx9-vs-dx11-benchmarks-time-to-upgrade-again/

I was able to play it while mining, now I can't anymore.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Ahahaha. Im not a dunce.
Im am fully aware of crysis' many frequent updates. it is currently my favorite game.

And no. There are not "too many fps"

I would fucking return my card if a 6970@940 wasnt able to run crysis as i want it too

No doubt that the extra resolution reduces my frame rates.
(i conceide here)
but if i look at the ground i goto 60 XD

To clarify I forgot to tell my 6990 to use only one core.
My previous statement of 1core running crysis and the other running mining. Was false.
The miner was sitting around doing dick fuck all(connection problems) when i was running crysis, So effectively the full 6990 was running crysis. Whilst no mining was active

To retest;
I got [as you said(but in reverse)] too many fps with what i stated earlier
Flipping off eyefinity gives me what i said earlier. But with eyefinity on i drop to an unbearable 32ish fps
40 is the fucking minimum frame rate in my books.

to clarify. Yes, My crysis is updated. And looks Fucking Gorgeous

I tried to run that game with the Direct X patch (11) on my 4x 6990 rig for fun, but it just said 'failed to initialize wrapper' or something. Gave up after 20 mins

Maybe it's just been too long since I played video games (I tried F.E.A.R a few years back), but I didn't find an answer online as to why Crysis wouldn't work.

Well, back to mining.. Will have to test again later, it looks nice in screenshots. Much better than anything I've seen in the past.

Also my Crysis 2 looks great too and i love it! It's just annoying the state of ATI drivers, and all my systems are freezing on any DX11 application while mining.

I am not using catalyst 11.6 due to BSOD just after installation, if they fixed the freeze it would be great!

So I searched around some more, it turns out you can't use 8 gpu's while gaming, even though it works for mining.

When you just enable 4 (2 6990) it will work just fine.

The problem is, a core 2 duo or sempron used for mining will seriously bottleneck those cards. I'll try switching a few on p67 platform with i7.

My guess is that you are trolling as always. You lied writing "You are completely incorrect, I am loving my 6990 eyefinity, a yummy 60fps max graphics with one core and 400mhashes with the other." and i show you benchmark of a 6990 using both cores reaching 48 FPS average with eyefinity turned off.
Then you said you meant with both cores and eyefinity turned off  Huh , but you are still outperforming benchmarks by a good 25%. You must be so good at computers for doing that! Did you write your own drivers?
Oh, wait! I found a post where you needed help to overclock the 6990...

The fact is simple, you can not use any DX11 application running on the same 6900 GPU where you are mining. You can with 5800 cards , as you are most likely doing.

Shall i delete all my posts? I will if asked too.

Edit: i was fighting for awhile because my dual 6870 rig has noproblems doing the afformention necessities (dx11game mining)
without the realisation that the 6870 and 6970 cores are apparently Much, Much more different than i had anticipated
