Internet have never gone down for over 1 minute in past and it is also quite unlikely to have a situation where internet all over the world will go down at same time for more than a minute because to make this someone have to spend billions of dollar on DDOS attacks.

Yea, because we never had something like a worldwide scale EMP bombardment. It's possible to shut down the internet by cutting off the major datacenters. This wouldn't make it disappear, but would significantly limit the access. The network would become much slower and even though it would technically still be there you would have to wait in line to access information. Same thing would happen with bitcoin, it wouldn't cease to exist because it's impossible to destroy every single node in the world, but you wouldn't be able to move your coins.

We humans are very much capable of great things and because necessity is the mother of all inventions, someone will come up with a solution in the case that the internet won't be there. This is the big reason why I always believe that Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency for that matter will not totally replace fiat or paper money because there can be times when technology will fail us and we are left on our own. Of course, right now they are working on an alternative internet technology for times when the internet we are using right now will go down but they are not yet proven so as to we can rely on that technology 100%.

Bitcoin and fiat money can co-exist and even be complimentary but they will never be killing each other. That, I am so sure. Even right now, I don't know how many people in rural and remote areas here in my country know about Bitcoin...so don't even have an old-style phone much more internet connection.

Since Bitcoin is internet dependent, there can be a hard time using it if there would be failure of connections. We are still waiting for a proven alternative backbone to the internet. Hope that can be available soon.

This wont happen, nowadays internet is a powerful tool and its part of humans, since we do use it for almost anything we need, replacing or attacking it would put us into a war. the solution is not to let bitcoin be the main payment instruments in the world, and I will really feel confused if one day Internet network paralyzed. I can not imagine if at the time of millennial present and the future, where technology has developed rapidly, then very suddenly Internet network paralyzed. maybe everyone will have a heart attack.

Agreed. Internet has been part of every country in the world so I doubt this scenario would happen in the future. But just in case it did, then bitcoin will be useless because no one can used it cause the internet is down. You can't send or received transaction, you can't open your wallet and other scenario.

Yeah I have thought of that. It could definitely happen. If there were a Electromagnetic bombing it could destroy all electronics. This would cause even a whole nation to not have a payment system if they started only using Bitcoin.

That is one of the reasons why I don’t think it is wise to use only an electronic currency. It might even destroy the blockchain and certainly everyone’s BTC addresses would be erased and accounts on servers like Coinbase would be wiped.

bitcoin would be less affected than most payment solutions, except physical cash, which is already dying anyway.      
    
even gold and silver would most likely be hurt by the internet dropping, because no one would know what gold/silver is worth anyway so no one would accept it.  
    
bitcoin can work over peer-to-peer networks even without the internet. At least in theory.

I don't think that is possible to happen to make the internet paralyzed or shutdown because that is impossible because a lot of people support the internet as well as bitcoin.

If that scenario happen then the only solution i think is the use of paper wallet like the fiat? how? We will just deposit a fixed bitcoin amount into the paper wallets and because it is offline and physical, we can use it and make it as an exchange to the item that we want and the receiver just need to wait for the internet to be fixed and exchange it into fiat money.
