What's going on with the Yobit XBY wallet? How long has it been in maintenance?
don't buy anything in Yobit, if a wallet breaks in Yobit it takes ages for them to fix it, that's if they ever decide to fix it! Play it safe, buy on Cryptopia or C-Cex. I have submitted a ticket on Yobit for fixing their XBY wallet from maintenance, and followed it up with two messages but they have not even bothered replying to me. I'm going to submit another ticket today.

If you are new here, just bypass Yobit completely. No need to purchase there. Other exchange wallets are fine. I spoke with Dom in the Yobit troll box today, and the response was to talk to the Yobit admin. This leaves people who have XBY there in a bit of a pickle. Again, if you are reading this ANN for the first time, my suggestion would be to use https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=XBY_BTChttps://c-cex.com/?p=xby-btcAs a community, we will work to resolve the Yobit situation.

" The answer: "Dear User! the coin Purse is on the works." I'm not blind. I already see it two months!

The situation has been going on for months. I hope more XBY users spam them with tickets until they do something. This is very irresponsable. XBY is not a dead coin, there is a good amount of volume, potential buyers and interest. I hope this situation does not continue when XBY release the STATIC network. everybody knows Yobit is scam artist they down evil things like sell Old useless chain coins off at 1sat in affect hurting millions

Yesterday I created a ticket on Yobit My ticket was answered: Deposit / withdrawal of coins will be available after updating the source code of the wallet. Unfortunately, developers are not in a hurry to send updates - Therefore, in order to avoid losing users' funds, the network is not available. If you have updated coin sources, please send us ( https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/ Free) and we will promptly fix the problem on the coin.

That's some bullshit response from their support staff. I submitted with my ticket the link to the source code for the latest XBY wallet on GitHub and they still haven't responded to my ticket. I suggest the best thing to do is that anyone who submits a support ticket to Yobit also submit the link to the latest XBY wallet source code on Github. Windows and Linux wallet source code: https://github.com/borzalom/XtraBYtes/releases/tag/pre-v1.2.0.2-win

I do not have XBY or anything else at YObit for a long time. We must avoid the YObit, not trust. I nevertheless made a request to support the buddies blocked at YObit. Everyone should do the same, to help, it takes 3 minutes, thank you. Here is the YObit request page: https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/It is necessary to inform this as indicated by PeoplePower: MAINTENANCE REQUEST free - SourceCode Update - XBY/XBY Type: SourceCode Update Yobicode: Priority: Free 0 btc Ticker Old: XBY Ticker New: XBY Src: https://github.com/borzalom/XtraBYtes/releases/tag/pre-v1.2.0.2-winBitcoinTalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864397.0NEWS NODES: 79.137.80.27:34002 159.203.86.18:34002 62.138.3.214:34002 87.229.77.127:34002 79.172.210.27:34002 217.182.79.172:34002 105.227.145.38:34002 76.169.57.92:34002 178.62.53.226:34002 86.162.166.222:34002 82.26.174.169:34002 96.42.120.95:34002 74.132.192.101:34002 72.211.123.31:34002 The money at YObit is not lost but they are very time consuming to do the update work

I dont talk about you I talk about @bikerleszno, I suppose you are from Poland, and you just delete 2 of your posts, which one of them was quite emotional, I didnt read second, because only saw that it was created on my computer than I have to do sth and now I read and these 2 posts are missing. Ok, at least you have approved that I have some point in it. Should quote tho, because it will always stay permament.
I am not emotionally. Problem is with my language. I don`t know many words so I am using that ones I know and later, sometimes people are thinking my behaviour is bad or something but dont worry I am nice but english is not so good like it should be Sometimes better to delete something than trying to explain Hi, You say this XTRABytes is experimental. But your goal is to have real working product, right? Do you have some info about the release? Is it months? Years?

Hi Boxxl, No date of publication. The TestNet is in progress, you can join it and test the XBY product. Free registration in the SLACK, ask RULE144 To participate in the TESTNET.

Borzalom is creating a new method of consensus that he has been theorizing for several years. This is why it is experimental...
We are creating a new way to do things in crypto and at this moment we are seeing the first live tests of the first layer (POSIGN) of this new tech.
We do not have dates, we have milestones. We are not just creating a coin, we are creating an Integrative Modular Blockchain system which will continue to expand and develop for many years. This is a very long term project but working tech is not so far away.
Thank you and welcome to XTRABYTES!

Why is POSign better then POS? Is it about the 51% attack?

Guys i have a question. I'm running the test Xtrabytes client, however i have all my XBY on C-CEX. Is it safe to transfer my XBY from C-CEX to the test-wallet or should i wait for the final official one?

A 51% attack means you need to have 51% of hash power at a specific point in time - so you can run it as a point in time/spike attack (although challenging). To get to 51% of Posign power you need 51% of nodes - which means you are a long term investor in the coin. The incentives to damage the network drop dramatically when you can't launch a point in time attack but have to invest $$$ in XBY first (i.e. rather than GPU's you can turn to the next coin, or ASIC's you can use on BCH/BTC). I don't know the specifics of the posign system and how it deals with a 51% attack from a pure coded/consensus approach, but I do recognize the attack vector is much more limited as discussed above. For example, I have a few nodes and I have no incentive to damage the network, nor sell to someone who will. So anyone launching an attack has a more limited attack vector (trying to buy my nodes, vs just buying GPU's in bulk).

Hey Niklasmato , Do not transfer your XBY to the Wallet Test ! We test XBY with COINSTEST. Rule144 will make a TEST COINS transfer on your Wallet Test. You will be notified as soon as a new test session starts and you will receive your test coins at that time. The test is free, never transfer your real coins in the Wallet Test

This needs confirmation but even if you owned 90% of nodes you couldn't attack the network. Even one node would let the system run I think as tampered ones would simply be blacklisted and don't hold any coins anyway.

Yesterday, a question was raised by one of our long time members who is also with our testnet group. The question was from @securenetworker and he asked: @ccrevolution is there a way to see the signed blocks where the online nodes have signed? I brought this up with Borz and decided it was best answered by a post here on the forum, rather than just responding inside the testnet private chat. Answer: At this moment, our testing has only been with the online nodes using Proof of Signature consensus. The next stage of development will be with the PULSE and VITALS, which will be the full technology behind XTRABYTES. Currently, you can go to http://testnet.xtrabytes.global for the block explorer where it's possible to review the signed blocks. However, at this time only 1 block is signing with all blocks accepting. The final version of POSIGN will be different because current tests are ONLY being done to validate the POSIGN concept. Therefore, what you are seeing right now is the PROOF OF CONCEPT for POSIGN with block creation and validation occurring without POW or POS. Moving forward, a tremendous amount of testing is still required to go along with the continued development. There are many MANY goals in front of us and as we grow, more and more developers will join us to help move things forward. We have a special story being written in these days and many people will want to be part of this new concept. Thank you for being part of XTRABYTES!!

You can download from there and install it to send your coins from C-Cex. The TESTNET wallet is totally different and is only shared in the TESTNET group. The TESTNET wallet also very clearly indicates it is TESTNET with its background image. Thank you!
