The optimism and cheerleading lately is laughable. Not too long ago when price was below 200 SAT, it was the exact opposite. At this volume (less than 10 BTCs), the price is meaningless. The people saying that they will hold this for however long are the one who got in at a higher price, say 1000 SAT, and they will cash out as soon as price gets close to their buy-in prices. You're holding because you have no other choices, not because this will one day become ETH.

Sure, you have a nice new logo, so what? Doesn't change the fact that your goals are simply too big to accomplish. By the time you make some sort of meaningful progress, you're forgotten because there are plenty of new coins out there that people will chase.

Wake up. Unrealistic hope gets you nowhere.

First I must agree that cheerleading is indeed exist exactly as FUD like "your goals are simply too big to accomplish" or "Wake up. Unrealistic hope gets you nowhere.". I guess those are two extreams which are integral part of crypto projects, for me both of them are better to be gone by hey, I stuck with you guys...    and after that been said...

Every crypto (and not only) project is kind of gamble, you almost never know for sure what is going on (this is the reason for crazy profits - crazy risks). When I entered into crowdsale of one project, many (way to many) people said it was scam, I will lose my money, it's WAY TOO BIG and this "crazy wierd kid"... well the status of Ethereum today is... I think I explained this point.

Now, about this project...
It is few months old, has nice price and volume for it's phase, there is ongoing development, active and involved managment, strong comunity, good marketing effort and some kind of constant progress (not daily for the ones waiting for project to be fully developed at weekend and price of 100000BTC in one month)... If you want to compare it to bitcoin - you definetely correct, this is worse project (in terms of certanty  and not current potential) Smiley, but if you want to compare it to other project of same scale at same phase, I don't think you will find one better.

At this price level you buy POTENTIAL and not product.

So, if you are, and it seems so, so dedicated to explaining all of us how this project will fail - start from installing a wallet, get FREE static and try to fail/show that there is no/break/hack test net  Grin , without this you are simply one more FUDder that righfully laughable exactly as last of MOONers.

P.S.
Some guy wrote about technical support in other words and you dissmissed it as this is not relevant. So... IT IS, for many people.

TestNet numbers are gaining momentum, lots of new faces today! Managed to get my 3rd TestNet wallet setup on a server! Can't wait to see what kind of stress we can put it through.

There is no exact date but you visited in a great time to help testing static node test net and make this "specific date" sooner than later.

In addition to my slack large transaction service (buy + sell), for the next 24h i've put 1m XBY for sale on Cryptopia for 699 for those who would prefer to go through exchange.  I can so similarly on the buy side should anyone be interested.

I wrote a short investment guide for august and included XtraBytes. I have high expectations from this project. Please correct me if i'm wrong in my statements about XBY.

TESTNET MINI-TEST ONGOING!

For those of you paying attention and waiting for TESTNET, I am happy to inform you that a small scale initial test started yesterday with a total of 10 STATIC miners online and running with blocks being created and signed by POSIGN and STATIC nodes ONLYYYYYYYYYYYY!!

There are some small bugs getting worked out, which is of course why this small scale test was started first. This test will run for another 48 or so hours and we will start expanding the STATIC miners for the public test!!!

Anyone else interested in participating, please be sure to download the latest wallet for your machine at the ANN and then get in touch with @rule144 on Slack for further instructions.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
If you want to see the transactions and blocks being mined by the STATIC miners, you can see from the TESTNET explorer:
http://testnet.xtrabytes.global/index.php

Again, keep in mind that we are sorting out the bugs before the PUBLIC test. This is however, our first look at the live tech!!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Thank you all for your patience Smiley

Dave

Hello Niklas!

I don't think you should say applications will not need an ICO. This initial funding is what helps companies get started to pay for their development. Otherwise, thank you!

*THIS SHOULD GET PEOPLE EXCITED!!!!!!!!!*

The following block is number 197 straight off the testnet. Oh, what does 1097 mean?!?  That is the number of transactions within the block!

197    4073fe5a0572fd04…    2(XtraBabY)    2017-Aug-22 23:09:42    1097 · 519923744736.00

This is only the beginning and full stress testing has not even started.  Shocked

Hack Testnet challenge, my 5,000xby to the first person to find a confirmed vulnerability that is not previously known to the dev team. In other words, a zero-day.

Are block times still 2 minutes per block? So it's the amount / 120? Or am I wrong?

It is pretty much 2-minute block times.

That would be about 9 transactions per second, but remember.... I haven't even joined the testnet  Wink   My goal is to bring the testnet to its knees begging for mercy just like what happened in 1998, when the Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.
