A user in Telegram has posted a breakdown on the status of MNE genesis addresses. Here's what he came up with:

I did a quick scan of the genesis addresses, this is their current token content:

we only know that 2.3K genesis addresses had some activity
there can be sleeping genesis addresses that haven't moved their mne yet
although I think that's not a huge number

Looks like we have some strong holders or genesis addresses that are lost to time.

We'll see over time which untouched addresses wake up and become active.

It would be great to see a lower max total supply in my opinion.

Bittrex will be next exchange we have wait until next week as dev said in his latest update new exchange will be bigger than recent one. Than we can keep hope for this kind of exchange this is still mystery but it's interesting.

Basically there are a few genesis addresses (4000 or so) which automatically get a small MNE every day (well with every ETH block). So MNE is created automatically as Ethereum blocks are found as MNE sits on the ETH blockchain. So the mining is actually performed by ETH miners indirectly.

What happens to MNE when ethereum switches to POS?

Nothing, only ETC will increase value, people will mine it more instead, now, if ethereum gooes Metropolis, then Mineteum may lose its novelty, Metrópolis should make eth festure usre-friendly.

Hi All,

Just want to say that we are continuing to work on the Token Creation Service and additionally to ERC20 we are now also preparing the next version that will support the creation of ERC23 tokens.

This update will be released soon, stay tuned.

Additionally to this we are making our plan for the Minereum World App and after making our recalculations we believe that we will still be able to deliver the first working version to the public by the end of this year.

Also, we are working on the possibility of making a first prototype version, just for display purposes in the next few weeks. The goal would be to have an android prototype app available for everyone to see how it works.

One other thing is that we are working on the conceptualization of preventing GPS spoofing. We will have machanisms in place to prevent abuse.
