The majority seems to think Bitcoin will cross $2000 and so do I. There is strong resistance at these levels ($1200), but I think once these levels are crossed, we will have a bull rally. We can easily cross $2000 by Christmas time.

Maybe we will have a bull rally to $2000+ but I know if a rally comes there will be a peak and of course I expect a dump to occur soon. We might even go back to sub $1000 by that time so I voted $1200 since Christmas 2018 is not near yet and of course dumps can happen as well as pumps so I think bitcoin will not be even near $2000 by that time but it might be reached before Christmas 2018 happens.

2000 in a year and a hal + doesn't sound that far fetched. Bitcoins rose a lot more in 2016 than I expected, so 2017 will be another volatile yet in the end great year, then almost a year after that is Christmas 2018, so $2000 would be my low estimate.

No one can accurately predict this, now everyone expects the maximum price increase. In the case of popularization of bitcoin, such an outcome is quite possible and perhaps even more, it all depends on the users.

$1300 is nothing.  The price has already breached it, in the build up to the ETF decision.

Bitcoin has been steadily (well, not steadily, but it has been) growing since its beginning.  Just last year the value was under $500.

If you don't count the 2013 pump, you'll find that Bitcoin has a long way to go just based on technical analysis.  A rise from $1300 to $2000 really wouldn't be that much, especially in about a year and a half.

That's right its impossible to predict what will be the exact value of bitcoins in future but it will be definitely higher then what we are witnessing at a moment and if the adoption gets huge then we can expect some really good price of bitcoin by that time.

May I what effect will take bitcoin price upto 5000$ in next year Christmas. I know every year Christmas there is price pump normally. However, This effect do a bump for 200$ or 300$ in that bitcoin but taking more than 3000$ and more will not be possible at all. Atleast you need to wait till next halving to see this price.
I vote for the price, 1700$ in this year and next year Christmas price may reach upto 2000$.

63 votes thus far, 40 predict a price of $2,000 by the end of 2018. That differs A LOT from the other threads floating around talking about $2,000 by next week, $5,000 by next month, and the Moon by December.

I'm glad to see most of us have a more realistic view on the growth potential.

There's a thread about an external prediction that calls for $10,000 by 2030. If this poll claims $2,000 by end of 2018 and we broadly say that there's confidence in a $500 increase per year (based on current price and the expectation of $2,000 by 2018). Based on these assumptions we'll add another $7,000 in value per coin over the next 14 years (or by 2030). That brings us to a total price of $8,200 by 2030...not bad!

Of course, all of this is just talk. There's no data at all for any of our comments or predictions...but talk can be fun.

This is easy to expect that I really believe in predictions which assume that bitcoin price will achieve the areas above 5000$ in next year ( 2018 ) but let's be serious, we dont really think that it will become true.
It is only a dream for all those who hold big amount of bitcoins, a dream that isn't likely to fulfill in next 3 years in my opinion, 5000 USD is a price that is too high for a bitcoin these years, it would be extremely overvalued right now.

Without big growth in cryptocurrency community, we shouldn't see such a rise, it may only cause a bad things going on markets, because the bitcoin isn't ready for such a big price increase.

I fully agree. But I like to make it even more simple. SegWit is never going to reach its 95%. So forced SegWit = 20000 usd, non forced = 200 usd or dead

In my opinion, we may be having an exchange rate of somewhere between $2,000 and $3,000 by the end of this year. And by the end of 2018, I hope that the exchange rate may touch $5,000.

In my opinion, it will reach $1500, its really hard to imagine that BTC's market cap would double within 6-7 months.
