That pretty much sum up most of the condition now, so many open crowd sale out there uses smart token and their main funding currency is now turning out from bitcoin to ethereum.  Honestly, I'm not amazed if the bitcoin dominance is now decreasing by the time, more people are now put their money into ethereum and see it have potential like bitcoin which growing up from few dollars to thousand dollars value.
It's the matter of the time until scaling problem attacks ETH though.

Ethereum can make its way since its an alternative use on some projects an ICO same with Waves. But bitcoin will always have a certain difference that it makes better than other.

Chance against bitcoin? There are many followers of bitcoin that want to be the next crytptocurrency. ETH. Dash, ZCASh I think will be most coins that challenge bitcoin. Those will be alternative of cryptocurrency. Like dollar and othe currencies.

Well i agree with you guys about position and strength of Bitcoin, and i hope that there will be nothing that can shift position and current situation of bitcoin to worst. But unfortunately there are things that can hurt bitcoin a lot, like this problem with old way of mining, and old miners. If that continue, maybe there is a chance for some other altcoin to rise and become stronger than bitcoin, but that is long way. Or maybe bitcoin can become so slow to transfer so that people start using some altcoin.

It is difficult yet, possible. Bitcoin and altcoins are very different but they are the same in usage because they are all online currency. Altcoins has a lot of different features that can be used against bitcoin so if the features of altcoins are better than bitcoin then there will be possibility for bitcoin to be replaced and that time will come soon.

From the beginning of the year bitcoin have been increasing high. Along with the pumping of bitcoin, altcoins too have risen periodically which means the competence between the two is high. For the same we cannot predict that alts have chance against bitcoin.

It's hard to actually speculate what will happen in the future for bitcoin but bitcoin has faced many issues in the past and still survive no matter what, if an scaling doesn't get implemented it might be possible that alts may replace bitcoin like ETH, DASH or MONERO.

Lets hope that scaling happens, but even then I think not a single alt will be able to overcome bitcoin simply because when you hear the words crypto currency the first thing that comes to mind is bitcoin even in the minds of regular users of bitcoin like us.

yes no doubt that Ethereum also have good users, but  i think still it cannot compete with bitcoin. the users of bitcoin much more that the users of etherium, people are using etherium as for trading and increasing their assets, but still they consider bitcoin as their main currency. and users of bitcoin are continuously increasing and making bitcoin more and more stronger.

Because Bitcoin traders are also Altcoin traders in general, when they see Altcoin as some kind of short term profit taking cryptocurrency they see Bitcoin as a long term investment. In general it would be hard for them to even manipulate the price of Altcoin in which Bitcoin is at now replacing a ruling king is hard to be done. Bitcoin took years to be where it is now, I don't see any scenarios on which an Altcoin will share the spotlight.

Yes, it took a long time for the bitcoin to reach to place where it is today. Many of our fellows think that it is easy to replace the bitcoin but in reality on ground it is not. With the increasing price of the bitcoin and the comparison of the alts will not work. I think in future the alts will be keeping the Bitcoin as a store of value for them.

Yes, it took a long time for the bitcoin to reach to place where it is today. Many of our fellows think that it is easy to replace the bitcoin but in reality on ground it is not. What you are telling is true to some extend but right now after we are facing problem with high transaction fees and even paying with high transaction fees they are not getting confirmed soon. So it will become like that altcoin will be used for transaction and bitcoin will be used as investment purpose.

Bitcoin is the real deal here, and altcoins is just another currency that would like to take a part of the growing industry that bitcoin is experiencing ever since. Altcoins are creating a thing that bitcoin never had because it is like a marketing strategy to attract people to use their created coin to have a value in price.

well currently the position of bitcoin is very strong and there is no doubt that bitcoin is still the number one currency of the  cryto world and hope that it will also remain as number one, but it totally depend on the interest of the people, people are taking interest in bitcoin, but i think still we cannot denay the fact that alt also have chance against bitcoin to overcome it depending on the interest of tho people.

We are starting to see the Altcoins take at a real chunk at the market dominance that Bitcoin has had in its whole history. Now that Bitcoin is down to 46%, there will be more movements towards Altcoins to replace it. Also showing that ETH is becoming much more viable for trading and day to day transactions.

But still you can see the demand of bitcoin from its price. Always take in mind that if the price of an asset is increasing then it is because of the demand of people for that asset and with the price you will find that how much is the demand of bitcoin nowadays.

Clearly if you analyze big and new alts yes they do have the power to battle against bitcoin network,they have the chance to beat up bitcoin if and only if big  investors and some companies will push to go for good and better projects

Yeah, though it also depends on how far they want to go with their Altcoin. If there is only large investors putting money into it, there won’t be that much of a demand since nobody really cares for the coin. Bitcoin has large amounts of people investing in the coin and they hype that is around Bitcoin is pretty real so the whole Bitcoin Project has a chance to stay relevant within the Top Digital Currencies other than some new coin that is not built by the Government.
