Bitcoin's not heading anyplace.  It is the defacto standard.I think there's room for InchaltsInch if they can do something better than bitcoin can, or if they can make a move that bitcoin cannot. The most obvious thing is reduced deal charges for smaller payments.  Bitcoin appears to be quitting that section right now, though it's feasible it could recover it in the future.  Now's the time that the "altInch could gain grip right here. The most exciting new factor, though, and something that bitcoin doesn't really do at all, is sensible agreements.I think Ethereum is the beginning of this, and people who develop it and broaden anything functionality have lots of potential.

I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?

I guess that would not be possible because bitcoin is the king of the digital currency altcoin is just an alternative way of multiplying bitcoin.

If we're comparing the Bitcoin status to Alternative coins, all other coins are needed to unite together before they can beat Bitcoin. Bitcoin as the king of crypto currencies, Bitcoin as most popular right now, the most widely use and having 118 Billion USD market cap.

Bitcoin are undefeated champion here.

It is unlikely that altcoins will exceed the Bitcoins. And if that happens it will be a long time. Altcoins are connected with bitcoins and if the bitcoins increase the Altcoins fall. So I have nothing to lose on Bitcoins because bitcoins are wide and many people use it in their daily lives. They are already using it as payment for their debts and much more.

There is a tendency that bitcoin is the culmination of the root of a crypto digital tree tree, if bitcoin is replaced and even destroyed, the ecosystem in one tree will vanish from circulation, so my assumption is that bitcoin success will never be replaced by anything because altcoin is also highly dependent on it.

Some try to tackle different aspects of bitcoin in an aproached way. Litecoin has smaller cycles, 2.5 minutes confirmation time on average.
Others try to move coin mixing into the protocoll, DASH for example.
Peercoin seems to be dead by now, they suffered from that Nubits pegging fail. Combined staking and POW mining, something that should get a revival some day.
So far many approaches but no success story.

Market value of Bitcoin is way higher than the price of altcoin, it won't have a chance to beat Bitcoin  Grin

It seems to me that bitcoin will not conflict with the Altkoins in the near future. Altkoins were mainly created to serve a certain sphere of human activity and therefore the tasks with bitcoin are completely different in them and the points of contact are very small. At the moment, bitcoin has so far distanced itself from the Altkoins with its high cost, that he has nothing to fear at all.

Yes I believe Alts do have chances. Maybe not in this year or next year but Alts will definitely surpass Bitcoins. My guess is that VTC will rise and then the rest will follow.

Of course, they don't have any chance. No coins can make a big trust likes Bitcoin. Therefore, their price can pass over Bitcoins

Bitcoin already passed that price level when everyone accepted it as buble. Altcoins have great chance to grow with in year but only some of them will survive after years. Altcoins cant compete with bitcoin itself but there are some good projects that can be invested for high amount.

I can see a great chance now that the price of bitcoin started to fall down again. Most of the time when bitcoin are down some alts pumps. But definitely it depends in the market we need to consider the hard fork that will about to happen.

Interesting how a point of view has changed over time. This thread was created amidst rising scaling problems and uncertainty about future of bitcoin.
But the current optimistic approach and progressing bitcoin adoption (Japan, South Korea) caused people to be more confident and positive.
In this situation, altcoins are kinda pushed away, to the second plan. No altcoin is interesting when you can have Bitcoin's price rising by thousands of dollars in short period of time.

Well I see it better idea for those who holds their coins, just like how japan and south korea did despite of the confidence they had. Possibly those investors of alts has the positive ideas of waiting until next year because most of them really projected that next year is the pump of altcoins, due to the dumps that is really going through recently.

There is some altcoins having real chance to success and predicted to become more valuable in the future. But of course there are many shitcoins as well which almost are dead. But Bitcoin will keep its first rank in the crypto currencies world for years surely.

I agree , altcoins are depending on bitcoins , it cannot change bitcoin it has a stronger market value and had ever been strongest among all cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is always be the pioneer of all coins , it has the most numerous number of participants and the most investment value. So I can say bitcoin is the King of all alternative cryptocurrency.
