I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?
Yup, i do think so. In the first place they are all cryptocurrency just like Bitcoin where their market value are just dependend on the demand from the market. So if there'll be an altcoin in the future that will be more indemand than Bitcoin, ofcourse it will surpass Bitcoin. But I think there'll be more years to come for this thing to happen.

Alts raised own chances these days mainly with BTC network clogged and numerous unconfirmed transactions. Just to mention that transaction fees are at ATH and block size desperately needs increase.

I think that a lot of coins dont have a chance at bitcoin and that bitcoin will stay at the top because bitcoin has always really been the best coin out of ever coin.
But with the other coins there is a lot of money you can make out of as well.

there are many altcoins on the market have good potential to against and defeat bitcoin in the future, these altcoins are made to be better than bitcoin and be supported by many investors and developers, so in the future when investors need to search for altcoins to replace bitcoin, altcoins will have their chance to defeat bitcoin.

Agree with you partially but still long way to go for these alt-coins as they have to come across many hurdles and axes from government and scammers which bitcoin has already been through and successful to be alive but yes there are greater chances that there might be time when bitcoin will face good competition form alt coins in future and i have already started investing into litecoin gradually.

I'm not confident bitcoin will fix their network issues to get their transaction fees down below $1 - where they need to be. It'll probably improve eventually, but not enough.

The longer the fees remain high is more and more time for other coins to grow their user base as people look for alternatives to bitcoin. A large thing to remember however is that most of bitcoins transactions are made up of large transactions and for these transactions the fee in terms of a percentage isn't nearly as much.

Isnt there something like "Lightning" coming up to fix that?

Competition is very health thing also comparison a very healthy thing so we can correct our mistakes and grow much better. The altcoins behind bitcoin is healthier to Bitcoin performance once altcoin come very close to bitcoin that time bitcoin will react accordingly to ahead. Regarding the charges I am also expecting in future it will be revised otherwise user will look for alternative end of the day more benefit is target for us.

Of course they have. Bitcoin won't be king for too long unless there are heavy upgrades on its network. Maybe Lightning Network can solidify its place for a long time but I still believe that the competition in crypto is still young. Even at this present stage some people just believe that Bitcoin continues to lead because it is the father and founder of decentralized crypto currencies.

Altcoins that have real utility have an opportunity to provide value outside of BTC's use case. But I would be less confident in coins taking on BTC directly; the network effect is significant.

I think so. I see that the only reason why people prefer bitcoin more than  altcoins is the fact that bitcoin has been here for years, since 2009 if I’m not mistaken, other than the fact that it is one of the most highest value. Therefore, people feel much safer with bitcoin. So, once they established a sense of secureness towards the other altcoins, only then will it be possible.

There are plenty of alts that have great potential and are great for what they were designed for but it will be a long time before something revolutionizes as Bitcoin did. There's not that spark of origin with alt coins

Alts on separate block chains don't stand a chance. However hard forks could be a bit troublesome for bitcoin and might compete with bitcoin like if segwit2x passed would have been a problem without the replay protection.
