It's hard to predict, but as I truly believe in some altcoins I realize that actually none of them even has a chance within 1-2 years, stratis is most promising imho

There are some altcoins which have chances to success and to become more used and more valuable. But still the number of this promising altcoins is limited, because the most part of altcoins are shitcoins or having very low value and that's not motivating people to trade them.

Litecoin is going up now, and it is one of the earliest altcoins. I still believe that it has the potential to overtake Bitcoin. Apart from Litecoin, some of the Bitcoin clones also looks promising (especially Bitcoin Cash).

We cannot just ignore alts coins because it's also having a growth we cannot denie that altcoin also cost a few money almost a half or more of a bitcoin that means they are also profitable.

Even for a long period of time, it is possible that ETH XRPили DASH will take on the dominance of BTC.The only advantage of Bitcoin is the first engine. Each coin is a plus=) a matter of time who would be ahead of everyone or should I say closer to Bitcoin.

I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?

I wouldn't eliminate the chance that an altcoin may somehow out shine bitcoin but it would take years for that to happen, as we have observe to bitcoin's status this year it would be quite a feat to overthrow the unstoppable growth of bitcoin and it would also take a feature that would best what bitcoin caters today.

iin terms of market value i dont think any alts can stand against bitcoin, though if we will take a look on the possible margin of profit, ill go with alt that have strong markket apperance with enough volume and demands though cant stand on supplies.. like ethereum..
if bitcoin price on 10k usd and ethreum at 500usd
buying bitcoin is too expnsive at 500 usd you will only have 0.05 btc or 1 eth
if bitcoin gain the price of 15k USD while eth gain the 1.5k usd what do you think then ?
your 500USD will have a value of 750 in bitcoin while in eth will have 1.5k..

I have been trading with alts for 2 months and as I can see alts are bringing more profit than btc anyway. They do bring more profits in 2 ways, when btc rises their price based on btc rise and when they have events they do rise by themselves. Which gives them pretty much chance.

Nope I don't see any chance of other alts to take over bitcoin. Bitcoin firmly take it's place. And day by day its getting more and more popular. Though there are transaction issues in bitcoin, its value is the main thing. People are not likely to invest or put their money in any kind of risk, so many people avoid other alts.

The best minds of the planet are thought over by the bit code for 9 years already, and many good alts still have to go through it! many alts are code bitcoin + chip - security network! the more things you will need to cover all the needs of the market! and the coins are simply spread out in niches and there is no need for someone to win!

I think in recent time of period the chance of alternative cryto to cross over  BTC is impossible. But in the revolution of cryto currency world it would be possible if there is better tecnology which can provide more transperency and more secure than BTC

Not that literally to cause harm into bitcoin because there are really time that people will tend to go into those altcoins since they also have different usages and purposes and we must be open into the possibility that altcoins do also have the capability and capacity to grow just like bitcoin can do. But the chances for these alts to surpass bitcoin is really far enough to impossible to happen nowadays.

I think that BITCOINS are very far away from ALTCOINS now,It is widely used crypto currency which is very popular and is in high demand in market. I think that there is chance to beat BITCOINS now because it has already reached to the highest peak now. But there are some ALTCOINS which are having some good market potential like : Ethereum. But still the the final destination is very far for ethereum.

Difficult situation.. the cryptocurrency Market changes every day and drastically, it is impossible to say what will happen in a year or two years. But bitcoin now plays the role of rod, which hold altcoins. But it is temporary. Some altcoins have become independent from BTC.

Sooner or later bitcoin will burst!  BTC becomes like a soap bubble.. And if its position was shaken, the ETH can get ahead. Many violas looks secure, for example OMG. OMG the price is stable, and almost does not depend on the price of BTC.

The difficulty is educating the average person. When a coin comes with an easy wallet in a mobile app with an easy exchange to buy with visa/PayPal with a big marketing budget and some big names talking about it in the media then we will see some competition.

Until then bitcoin is the face of crypto that Joe bloggs recognises.

Bitcoin will always be the king of cryptocurrencies world. Maybe some altcoins have moved faster than bitcoin, like dash, monero, etc.

If scaling continues or banks, in a grand scheme to bring cryptocurrencies down, only manage to hurt bitcoin (which is highly unlikely as they would rather have the entire ship sink than blast off only a small chunk of it and let it sail further), then maybe, but as we currently stand it's not entirely predictable, it's rather unlikely.
