The price of the bitcoin very difficult in prediction now, seems not much price bitcoin on the rise in this year if this continues, i think altcoin will have the opportunity to compete with bitcoin especially ETH showed a pretty good performance.

I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?
I do, and I think they really have a very good chance against bitcoin if these continue plus bitcoin's growth has somehow slowed down its pace from its growth compared to its previous growth rate or maybe its just having a correction from its previous growth spurt. But altcoins today are doing great and investors are now flocking but then again it would take a very long time before altcoins actually goes on par with bitcoin.

Bitcoin is good in some parts and bad in others. altcoin can be better than bitcoin in somethings. as general bitcoin will win and alts have chances against Bitcoins Why do we try to compare bitcoin to alts. We should finally learn that is a big family and we don't have to make them fight against each other. So I don't see the situation like "alts have chance against bitcoin", I see the situation like "alts have their chance independently" . Of course we are talking about alts that might have potential. I agree with you mate why they are making competition about bitcoin and altcoins they are same crypto currency, the advantage of bitcoin is it is the first crypto coin and the the pioneer of all crypto currency that's why bitcoin is much popular and high demand in the market, and it is depends on you how to handle and to get benefits with these coins.

Bitcoin was originally launched as an Internet payment service provider using block chain technology. Judging from the current transaction costs, I don't think people will at least like to trade in bitcoins.

altcoin do have big chance to overcome bitcoin. bitcoin is too high and there will a big correction for it. i believe after this pass and bitcoin not going on correction and not a good investment anymore altcoin will be the best option to invest cause there is diversity and have a real project.

I have been seeing the bitcoin's prices steady and steady. But due to the mineral expenditure incurred on this day, big businesses are now sending their funds to alts. Taking advantage of the low fee. Creating a whole new economy in the trends of Ultconne Markets Will it benefit?

In my opinion, the only ALTS that will be able to bypass bitcoin is ethereum. If ever bitcoin will be replaced I think it is the ETH, knowing the reliability of this coin it will surely be competitive.

Some altcoin have chances like ethereum. I've been watching its price from last year till now. And it grows so much. If it continues to grow i thinks it has a chance of beating bitcoin. But i don't know when will it happen.
You do realise the only thing that is keeping ETH even “alive” at this point is the fact that it lets all these ICO peeps rich with the easy af to make ERC20 shitcoins

Sorry but this answer is both a yes and a no. if certain forces are behind the price of bitcoin crumbling then you can be sure this could happen, but if the forces behind it are the normal forces then you can be sure the alts have a herculean task before them. Further information and analysis is required to come to concrete and acceptable position on this.

I don't think alt coins can stand against bitcoins but since we do not know what the future holds, we may not know if it can surpass or go against btc. Let's wait and be patient maybe in the near future, alt coins may catch up to btc.

many altcoins have chance against bitcoin in project and whitepaper , but bitcoin still the first crypto currency , and have a unique style in people mind
Simplest way to put it, technologically there are other better coins to invest in to but the size and popularity wise BITCOIN is going to be a big one to even remotely touch

Who knows what the future holds, coins like ripple xrp are already half the way through the market cap, if they drop the number of coins it would be easy to beat the price

Ofcourse they have chances , first there are a lot of crypto's doing very different things then btc is doing but using the blockchain technology. Also bitcoin is far from flawless , and i think there are better solutions then bitcoin at the moment. The hard thing is to get the adoption of these coins going since bitcoin has the name which gives them the marketing.

"Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins?" Yes, in fact they have already over taken Bitcoin, if you check out coinmarketcap.com and look at the top right of the screen you will see the bitcoin dominance percentage, its currently standing at 34.3% So my highly skilled math shows that alts are now winning with 65.7% However alts need Bitcoin to do well, so don't slag it off too much like i have just done. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

The answer is yes, although it is the foundation of all cryptocurrency. It cannot last forever and technology is catching up. Just like an old King replace by the new. Rules are buiid to be break.

I wouldn't say Bitcoin is the foundation, the foundation for erc20 tokens is Ethereum, Bitcoin was the beginning though obviously.

Yes I can certain altcoins which can challenge bitcoin market dominance, one of them is Ethereum, I think that the current price of bitcoin has its drawbacks, bitcoin should be used as currency, but the current very high transaction fees hinder that to happen, that is why people are turning to coins which offers lower transaction fees, that's ETH comes. BTC has become an asset and not a currency.

All the other altcoins are losing value expect for ETH now. Litecoin is still the dobble ganger of BTC and always will be seen as just an after thought.
