If we talk about the chances against bitcoin, I saw nothing. All I can see is altcoins always depends at the value and price of bitcoin.
If the value and price of bitcoin goes up, the value and price of altcoins also goes up. Vice versa when the price of bitcoin goes down.

For my opinion I don't thing any altcoins can achieve what bitcoin have, because altcoins is just a branches on bitcoin and most of its use is very similar to bitcoin. Altcoins also have many competitors because almost evry country have made their own crypto thats why many altcoins won't rise up.

There is no other cryptocurrency in the world that is going to become more famous than Bitcoin right now...BTC is better suited to be an safe haven asset, capital investment and long term option for hoarders. Smiley

one thing is for sure , bitcoin is well known and established which can not struggle getting investor support but the current transaction backlogs and high transaction fees

simply allows altcoins to grow in popularity and should they prove worth their while alts will have a chance against bitcoins

I am not a fan of any alts but recently tried ETH to make few micro transactions of 1$ with just around 1cent worth ETH on fees. I find this really helpful and i think i will do same for other micro transactions in future.

Chances is always there for altcoin to surpass bitcoin anytime soon but it would really depend on people if they would switch or just stay on the origin of crpytocurrencies. We do know bitcoin is the king of all crypto

For now no alts can defeat bitcoins since as you can see the dominance of bitcoins pressence is pretty much excellent rather than other who falls down at this moment but i pretty believe that ETH would be the greatest contender since if you track its little movement well you will feel amazed on what ETH got now.

No chance at all to pass the bitcoin success we know that bitcoin have a exchange of a thousand dollars and alt coin only have a hundred dollars or lower maybe they have a chance of becoming successful also but no chance of passing bitcoin.

That pretty much sum up most of the condition now, so many open crowd sale out there uses smart token and their main funding currency is now turning out from bitcoin to ethereum.  Honestly, I'm not amazed if the bitcoin dominance is now decreasing by the time, more people are now put their money into ethereum and see it have potential like bitcoin which growing up from few dollars to thousand dollars value.

I agree that the altcoins against bitcoin have very few chances. The lion's share of new projects, if not complete BTC clones, is very close to this. Often, the authors change a couple of not the most significant characteristics, such as the speed of transactions or production algorithms. Such examples of digital currencies very quickly go off the stage and few people remember about them the next day. While bitcoin continues to be popular despite the fact that it has flaws.

I agree, it is just that bitcoin need some improvement at the moment. Maybe transaction fees are increasing yet I cant see people transferring their funds there, that is not enough reason to do this move.

It can't really be predicted but anything can happen. Though, one thing I am sure of is that the players and investors in the bitcoin community won't want that to happen. I may be wrong though, cause from the look of things, some altcoins are beginning to gain some grounds which I am sure bit coin price is one of the driving factors but what I can't say is the other factors that may as well be driving them and how strong those factors are, compared to bitcoin's effect on them.

There is every possibility that can happen in this crypto market. In the first front ETH is the best alternative crypto after btc because of its increased volatality and blockchain technology as well which is backed by IT giants. So we can never under estimate any alt coins as they can even do wonders and reach benchmarks set by btc as well in not time.Till such coin appears btc is still the king of all crypto world.

I don't think Altcoins and Bitcoin will against each other because they're all the cryptocurrencies and actually they have to help each other for surviving.
Did you see the connect of Bitcoin's price to other Altcoin's price when there is a big change on market ?
Usually if Bitcoin goes green, Altcoins go green ; if Bitcoin goes red then Altcoins go red also.

Yes, there are many quite promising and already successful altcoins, but it is unlikely that they will be able to surpass bitcoin and reach a leading position.

I can hardly imagine this. I think no altcoins are able to fight bitcoin. Because bitcoin is the mother of cryptocurrency and everything in this case. There is no need for altcoins against bitcoin because that would only be a futile action. The potential of bitcoin will always be big and strong. That is real.
