Could LTC go to $1000.00 ?

"Never" is a long time.  Could litecoin go to $1000 within a year?  Probably not, but crazier, stupider, more unpredictable things have happened in the world of crypto.  So yeah, never say never.  Imagine asking people in 2009 if bitcoin would ever be at $1300.  They might have laughed you out of the nerd fraternity, but here we are in 2017 and we hit that mark.  Litecoin definitely has some advantages over bitcoin, so you just never know.

Agreed, I think that segwit can add value proposition to ltc because of the feature sets that coders can implement if segwit were to be implemented.

I need to repeat part where Pharmacist talking about bitcoin in 2009, wbk would say that bitcoin can worth this much. I will agree that we never know, and Litecoin can make something more, at least we need to be open for this to happen.
Even if Litecoin go x5 this price, that makes Litecoin a good investment at the moment. I have some and I think I will by more, litecoin is better then some more expensive coins, Litecoin deserve to cost more.

as much as i like to say it will go to the moon and 10000 USD (since i am obviously holding a lot of litecoin now because of my accumulations) but i can not lie.
i seriously doubt if litecoin price can go anywhere higher than $100 in long term (meaning a year for example)
in short term we can see a big rise, a rise to $50 is even simple but that would be a bubble because simply put there is no demand out of nowhere! in long term we can go there and stabilize but for now i am expecting a big rally and then some dumps.

and we will see how things go after that.

if segwit gets activated litecoin may rise to $30-50 each. $1000? probably not but who knows crazy things can and happen fast in crypto. it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks

It is possible to get to that level but I think it is not realistic for litecoin, if we can get to $100 then maye $1000 would not seem so far fetched but with the ATH of about $50 I can't see it happening anytime soon.

Due to so many scamcoins, I see LTC going up to +$20 soon. But I do not think that it will go to +$1000, and the first reason is the market cap. It would make LTC go past BTC, which I see impossible as Bitcoin was the first. Why would an Altcoin ever be better than Bitcoin, if this was the original idea?

The group behind Litecoin are trying to do a lot right now to increase the value of the coin. I don't believe it's a scam coin, however, if it can gain wider acceptance, from vendors, and governments, because of the technologies that segwit will bring to bear (if adopted), then I see it going way up in value.

The litecoin community appears to be willing to work together, at least more so than The Bitcoin Community.

Did you Realize if OP has trapped on delusional about the big price for litecoin? Some years passed and ETH is more superior than LTC.
That's a fact. But if you can tell me about a new innovation of LTC? Clone of bitcoin will never worth a lot.

LTC highest value was 50 dollars during the pump in 2013. There are many altcoins now compared to 4 years ago. It would be a miracle if LTC can go above 20 dollars as the supply of coin is increasing and demand is lower than the supply. LTC is rising now because of SegWit. After that, its price will drop below 10 dollars again.

I think that talking about the supply is no longer very revelant nowadays, at least for big established crypto-currencies. Take Ethereum for exemple : its supply is infinite, growing nicely each day, but yet it is the most valuable crypto-currency out there. And I definitely think Litecoin has a great potential, not to reach 1000$ of course, but maybe to reach 15$ in a long-term point of view.

$15.00??? Where do you come up with such a clunky figure??? As I write this it's at $12.78. Yesterday it was at $11.70, and we are still approximately 10 days from SegWit activation. It most certainly is going to go past $15.00. The market cap is at $640 million, up $70 million in a couple of days.

I believe if segwit activates, and it does not on Bitcoin, then Litecoin can become an investment vehicle. I think one thing that is attracting investors also, is how much tighter of a community the litecoin community is. If they can get themselves together now, before the value rises too much, they can set up the currency for the future, and this could be great for wider adoption. Regardless how torn apart the Bitcoin community is however, I wonder whether they are stupid enough to let Litecoin steal its thunder?

I just hope that if or when segwit is activated, it doesn't become a pump and dump. I would love to be able to invest long term. Regardless, I bought all I had available to buy in LTC ($690.00) worth if it goes to just $35, I will be very happy.

I like litecoin for be used as payment method through blockchain technology.Actually he has a lower fee than bitcoin . Somewhere at $0.1-0.40 per transaction with under 3 minutes confirmation on blockchain . Someone should update bitcoin because it has a big mining fee for sending . Well I would be the very first to be happy if that happens. I only have less than 10 coins, too shy to say exactly how much but I bought them at a very good price last year so even 1k is a huge, huge return for me. The rumors are probably going to be for sure since LTC dev Charlie Lee personally embarked on a big marketing move and his reputation will ensure Litecoin will make it big. Not sure if 2018 is the year for 1k, but a return to ATH is surely on the cards.
