It depends on how you define flawed?

Is it 100% completely anonymous and untraceable? No
Is it a peer to peer instant transaction currency with no banking Fees? yes

I don't think it's flawed as it is, but I think that adding untraceability would be useful.

I heard someone comment once that Bitcoins are traceable, but anonymous. That is you can see where the bitcoins go, but you can't normally know who has what. (Although a mixing service would provide untraceability as well)

I think it is enough to register at two exchange sites anonymously. You will buy maybe LTC on the first one, send it to the second one and then trade it back to bitcoin. To discover, there is need to force both exchanges to reveal trading history and withdrawal addresses for that deposit(s). Adding third coin and third exchange may make the track process mission impossible.
