I'm wanting to buy 6 btc using paypal. Please PM me your rate. If you are over 5% don't waste your time. I simply have a slight delay on Coinbase that I can wait out instead of paying ridiculous fees.

Thats a $7k chargeback risk for <5%

Think you may have to put up with that slight delay on Coinbase

When sending friends and family as well as using escrow, the seller has very little risk. Chargeback isn't even possible AFAIK.

You can still charge back under friends and family.

Why do you think nearly all sellers here will not accept PayPal even for small amounts.

Escrow will offer no protection in a charge back scenario.

This is a high risk trade for little reward.

Well according to Paypal there is no chargeback available on either friends and family or for gift. I know that first hand when I tried to do a chargeback after buying a smartphone several months ago. As far as the reward being small, are you having a laugh? 5% on $7k is 350 bucks, that isn't a small reward.

Anyway, if you aren't wanting to do the deal, keep your piehole shut since you are not involved. It is astonishing how many people with nothing involved feel compelled to comment.  BTW, I already did a 6btc deal @3% today and am looking to do another one. The Antminer L3's are too hard to pass up lol.

you wrong, chargeback possible even if you send as friends or family option, when real owner of pp account claims  unauthorized transactions .

I am the real owner of the account but paypal refused to do a chargeback on the phone(not only didn't work, but was the wrong model). I eventually got my bank to reverse it. A girl I talked with at paypal said they don't do a chargeback on friends or family nor gift. She said it prevents family from sending to other family members and then getting the money back, leaving paypal stuck. If you had this happen to you, I doubt it was recently.

Friends & family sends are reversible under certain circumstances where and if the card used for the transaction was compromised. Regardless of which girl, guy or robot tells you. The zero chargeback risk they tell you is and remains a very real threat and risk.

If you must use your credit card, you might want to consider doing a cash advance and sending the cash to whoever can sell you $7000 worth of BTC. Think not just about yourself. Sellers want protection too.

Have you had a chargeback on a friend and family or gift send? I doubt it if it has been in the last two years. As far as believing a girl that works for paypal, I'll believe her or someone posting on a forum that likely hasn't had a chargeback under the stated circumstances.

So You just confirms himself, that revers possible, and it does not matter which way it will be done, also keep in mind BTC seller may not know confidently that you do not lie by saying that you are the real owner, or even it is true , Who can guarantee that you will not send money using a different IP, and then claim unauthorize transaction.
I have nothing to blame you, just list the possible variations.

Oh c'mon dude. Any transaction, and I do many ANY transaction that involves a bank is reversible. Period. I said PAYPAL will not reverse a friends or family nor gift transactions and no one here has shown any proof that isn't true. Only speculation and guesses, while I have personally experienced it.

To get the bank to reverse the transaction I had to jump through hoops for weeks, including taking the defective phone to the branch manager along with signed affidavits from a person that witnessed me opening the package. Without that witness the transaction would have likely held up. I was simply lucky my neighbor stopped me outside to talk, and I happened to open the package during it.

The rest of your reply sound more like tinfoil hat stuff. Yes, people can lie, but there are also honest people in the world. This forum is rife with paranoia. In the lending section a guy needed a few dollar worth of btc and got raked over the coals by the lending crowd. Most of them demanding outrageous collateral and fees. I loaned the guy the few bucks and he paid me back early. Not everyone is out to fuck you.

Now with all that said, I no longer need any btc. Two people have sold me a total of 12btc, one for 2% and another for 3%.........while the rest of you were not interested, or wanted 10% or more. They profited and the rest of you lost out.  Wink

the reason paypal didnt agree to help you is that because you used friends and family to send money as a payment (they get 0% comission for friends and family compared to 2.5% with goods and services) so they do everything to discourage this behaviour.

what you might have overlooked though is the fact you can still contact your bank/credit card issuer and claim an unauthorised access and the charge will be reversed and the seller screwed

Chargebacks are possible via friends and family if you did the transaction after a phone confirmation of a new PC. Interested to see on the blockchain your 2x6 btc transactions.

The tinfoil hat crowd are starting to give me lulz. Just for my amusement, what do you see when you search the blockchain for this addy: 3EoxZALRgxxW6H1vWrXKZZdDpy3Lzdtgp7

Charge backs are always possible with Paypal or any other bank funded method, no matter what paypal or other institution says.  I would be happy to help you with cash in mail or walmart to walmart or meet in person if you are in KS, but outside of those, I don't think you will have any success.

Regarding tinfoilness, think of me when friends and family gets reversed. It happened to me and I'm still butthurt. Smiley
