Interest in Bitcoin has multiplied over the last few months!

Russia still leads the way followed by Finland-

Russia still leads the way

This is because russians doesn't have money and job, they have pure interest and a lot of spare time.
You can see this if you compare volumes on mtgox and btcex.

Not having money and job, is not a reason to be interested in Bitcoins- Having a currency messed around by gangsters is.
There are a fair share of humans with little money and no job and they are not all in Russia. Some live near me and some near you but they are watching TV probably.

Half of all millionaires in Europe reside in Russia-
100 Billionaires reside in Russia-

There is great potential for Bitcoin usage in Russia, in my opinion; still needing to reach a tipping point fair enough but I find it quite encouraging and positive-

Somebody do an overlay with the btc:usd exchange rate in the same graph. I would do it if I wasn't on a bus browsing from my phone :-/

This is not a bitcoin address; do not send anything to it: 112sNU2PA3odvzvFvZtbu1tR2pr88ssrpk

The Last 12 months has seen fantastic uptrend in popularity. I still remember the first peak from Slashdot. We're at all time highs, and searching "bitcoin, liberty reserve" (http://www.google.com/trends?q=bitcoin%2Cliberty+reserve&ctab=0&geo=all&date=ytd&sort=0)
you can see that bitcoin now is more searched for than liberty reserve.

Their audience demographic confirms the polls on this forum:

Females are greatly under-represented at bitcoin.org

Another reason we should expect further spikes.

Another view showing the extent of last week's media coverage:

The previous high was under 5,000 in March after the BitcoinJ / Google Employee announcment.

Bitcoin Block Explorer also got a big spike in traffic starting on the 16th. 2,599 unique non-bot IPs on the 15th -> 7,832 unique non-bot IPs on the 16th. BBE is now serving ~400,000 pages per day (mostly from bots and sites like BitcoinCharts).
