For some reason my gigabyte rx 470 4g  hashrate is 40+ mh and constant for 24 hours now and is reported to the pool
My other card is the same and reporting 27 mh
Any idea what kind of glitch is that Wink

Means your hacked memory straps are unstable and creating bad numbers. You will get lots of rejections and hardware errors.

Fail to plan, and you plan to fail.

If you get payout/returns consistent with 40mh/s +-10% then do not change a thing and enjoy your good fortune Smiley

Can you run HWInfo64.exe and check for memory errors?
I'm pretty sure chat the hash rate is fake, you will have a lot of incorrect shares.

I think that 40Mhs is even over the theoretical maximum for the GPU

If the pool side hash rate is the same and no invalid results, then it is excellent.

yes the pool and miner has same results and zero invalid shares.. i know things will get back to normal after restarting my pc i just wish to know what made it give such hash rate , it will be nice to replicate it to my other 470's Smiley

I had a 470 that started spitting out 500+ sols in ZEC mining, after a day or so of that it began to report incorrect data errors in Claymore with increasing frequency and after a couple more days it was submitting invalid shares more then 50% of the time. I had to retire that card from mining (was 1 month old and on stock bios too). Monitor that GPU closely and try reverting it to stock settings if a reboot doesn't change it.

Well you shouldn't be very much happy with that, its an error, if you don't find it today, you'll have to tomorrow.

Very soon, either the card would start crashing or will start reporting bad shares.

But until that time, enjoy the scenery. Tongue
