He just said he has no time in trading so he wants an investment venture where he just wait for return of investment, (making money works for him) .  And indeed cloudmining is not advisable in anyway, considering the ever increasing difficulty in bitcoin mining.  I guess he like to know what is the best gambling house bankroll to invest in.

Yes, trading is not so easy for everyone particularly if one don't know how trading works.

That link provides a good list of gambling sites which accepts bankroll investment and it is a good thing to consider to invest on these gambling bankrolls. Even it is just 0.5BTC, better to diversify and invest in at least three sites instead of just one site.

That's a big amount of money if you will try to use it in trading, but if you will just invest it in a casino I believe you need to wait for a longer time before you will be able to meet your goal. Investing in gambling sites are profitable but not lucrative when you do not have decent money to put it.

0.5 is not much per say but still to start with its a good.

0.1 you can keep it in btc itself.
0.1 you can gamble if you wish to.
0.1 you can buy any altcoins if you think it may.
0.2 you can trade btc and get some profit from it.

Well if that is not that much still that's good for starting. Maybe he will consider your suggestion but I think he's decision is final that he is going to invest that into a reputable casino. But I don't suggest to him that the bitcoins he is going to allocate to invest will be used for gambling.

Biggest problem I see here is not having time.  It always takes some resources to make money and we are talking about not so much here.  If you don't have any more money than this, and no time, well, y'know.  Hodl or hodl.

Almost all gambling sites encounter a huge loss every single day and the idea is that your coins would be included on the losses for that day. Though that's not how it works, there are some scenarios that high rollers would be raking the hell out of the house causing your investment to disappear like smoke in an instant. The risk is so high on investing for gambling sites compared to trading and the likes.

I don't agree on gambling sites encountering huge losses every day, maybe a day it's reasonable but losing every day maybe there's something wrong with the site's kelly or someone know the server seed. Yeah you're investment is included when high rollers are winning but they can't simply beat the house if the casino owners have a good bankroll management(limited max payout and max profit) you shouldn't worry much about losing your investment.
 
I invested my 1btc on crypto-games before and the bankroll was like 1k btc at the time. The biggest loss I got in a single day was like 0.003 btc but the day before that I profited 0.006 btc.

yea that's not generate so much profit if using 0.5 btc as your bankroll consider gambling site give you small interest every month/year, but still both of them need time on getting best profit in case of investing in gambling site will take your time to do some search about their reputation. it become worthless if you only aim for high profit.

Even though it will took long time to reach his goal, but it's quite safer than he using it for trading. The only risk while you invested your money in gambling site is you will lose your investment if the site closed before you withdraw your money (rarely if you have invested in reputable sites) and your investment amount decreased because of whale's winnings. We know if trading has higher risk than investing, he also said if he doesn't have any spare time to do trading.

I am pretty sure that you have the wrong information or you have been getting less rewards for your gambling picks. Although you may be correct if 0.5 BTC was invested then the investor of a gambling website contract will make only a small percentage of money from that.

That's what I'm trying to say, if you are going to save it to their bankroll and let the casino use your bitcoin for their business and additional bankroll. You can simply gain earnings from being an investor. It's not guaranteed but it's a better way to earn bitcoins rather than by simply gambling it alone that can lead you to lose more.

Risk are also much smaller compared to trading.
If you pick a few stable, reputable casinos, it's a relatively safe investment, you can expect around 4% monthly.
Which is 0.02BTC which is ~30$ of interest/month.
It will be more as capital increases.

There is no project that guarantees profits! If something does promise you safe investments then think twice investing there. Those that promise a safe and big returns are surely scams and they will run with your investments. Investments will always and always involve risks. That is how things are.
