Well I like the fact you can wirelessly mine with it, must have missed that part somewhere.

Baikal Cube Setup


BaikalMonitor detected Cube (The Top one) without any issue.


Cube is mining just fine with my Pool backups from old Quads.


Cube UI interface is updated and it added Extranounce Checkbox.


Only issue I found that BaikalMonitir is indicating My Cube as SICK. but its working fine. One more thing to be noted that Cubes have 4 chips for 150 Mhz but Cube have 9 Chips. 1 extra chip for 300 Mhz.


Downloaded images of Pi Zero from their website. WIFI ANTENA is an interesting addition.

New Sgminer 5.5.2-b is mining with ES enabled.

So tomorrow i will upload 2 import results.
1. Cube working with WIFI
and second more important.
2. I WILL TRY TO COPY THE CUBE IMAGE TO MY OTHER QUADS AND LET SEE IF MY QUADS WILL HASH WITH EXTRANOUNCE OR NOT. AS I AM GUESSING THAT ITS A SAME CHIP AND SOFTWARE IS A BOTTLENECK.

Really cool that you can mine wirelessly with the Cubes! I thought Baikal just merged 2 minis together in a nicer package and sold it as a Cube.

Where did you get those Cubes BTW? I keep getting the run around from Baikal.

How many cubes did you get? Wasn't it one per account?

Thanks for posting this review. I've seen another review where the guy had problems getting it started. How was your setup?

What cables did you need to connect it to the PSU, were any of these included?

And the wifi, any problems/issues getting that to work?

My advice is to thoroughly read the Cube setup pdf first (10 mins max) before starting the CUBE.

follow the instructions if your CUBE is still not working then contact for the Baikal support.
As for WIFI setup i am waiting for some seasoned Linux devs to work on that.
My main focus is now to use the Cube image for my Quads so that they can mine with ES.

I read extranonce is new with sgminer v5.. i think the minis and my a900 giant use like v4.9 so they wouldnt have it (unless we can upgrade?)

does anyone know if extranonce increases hashrate/shares or anything?

Bottom line is ES helps in Multialgo pools (like Zpool etc.)by efficiently switch between different Algos and also improve hashing in P2P pools with dynamic difficulty.
