I am not entirely sure if they will want to just not sign Messi and give him a small time offer, I am sure that they will want to keep him for at least few more years, I can see it being possible for as long as 5 years if they want to milk the last years of him, but that can't be for these prices, so there are 2 options for them.

One of them is offer him something like 30-40 million not just for his talents but the reputation he brings to the club and the merch sales, and do it for 2 years. Or you can do 20 million but do it for 5 years, that's a good offer because I am not sure if he can make 100 million for the rest of his career, but it could be worth a shot at least for him to risk it, so it's risky.

A few years ago when Rashford made his debut basically everyone was surprised and amazed about how good this kid already was back then and basically every expert said that he will have a huge career and that he will be one of the absolute top players for the next decade or so. Seems they were pretty wrong. He still is a great player but it also seems like he did not really improve any more since his debut as a 18 year old kid. I still think though that he can help every team and maybe a move to another club could give Rashford a much needed impulse to become better again. I do agree with you. The problem is his career may be stuck when MU is always struggling with its performance. Inconsistently has become the main problem from MU. Having said that, if we are to agree that Haaland prolly didn't intend to stay for many years upon his arrival at the club this summer, he would definitely be having a rethink now when he looks at his stats in just a few games as a City player, he'd know if he stays with this team, he is definitely breaking record after record and his name would be enshrined into the history books.

Yes, you are right, but as for Ten Hag, it is something that I no longer see as that technical director who is so impeccable, it is unheard of that now that he has under his command a team as important and with as much history as the one from the red devils of Man United, that only the name commands respect, at the moment it is so bad in the classification, I would understand that it would be bad if they did not have material, because when there is no material it is very difficult to work in a team, but seeing how they are doing and knowing that there are two of the best stars in the world and he doesn't play them in the important games, it's something that makes you think a lot.

haaland is lucky to be in man city, he has support from pep guardiola and a perfect winger-striker and midfield who supports him too. I agree with many people who say that Haaland is Man City's most successful purchase so far.

United have taken so much coward moves for the pass seasons with a lot of players that doesn't suit the club from 2013 till date, I can't even call a complete player for Manchester United. Ten Hag is a good man and knows what he wants, they shouldn't hesitate to splash the cash when he finally demands for it, the only thing that has helped reduced the talks about Pep's expenditures is just that they have been winning trophies for some years now.

Anything can happen. I will not even say if there was no possibility for him to leave manchester united. Remember that people's mind can change anytime. I will not personally believe if a player will be loyal if the performance from its team will be so bad. Marcus Rashford still has a long time with Manchester United until the summer of 2023, Rashford is slowly rediscovering his best form under Ten Hag. it is likely that United will extend his contract at Old Trafford by adding another five years to the duration, but until now there has been no news about the contract negotiations.
