This news is coming as a shock because I thought story of Joselu Mato would remain with Real Madrid since the club is willing to trigger the one-and-a-half million euros buyout clause from Espanyol and keep him. But it seems the presence of Kylian Mbappe and  Endrick has made the striker lose the hope of getting the opportunity to play in Madrid. According to Fabrizio Romano, it seems like the Qatari side Al-Gharafa is too lucrative to be rejected. Viktor Gyokeres is a very incredible player, last season he had very good statistics.

Joselu has made the decision to leave Real Madrid and join Al-Gharafa in the Qatari league, he knows he will not be the first choice at Real Madrid and moving to another club even though it is in a smaller league than Laliga could give him more games and opportunities get a bigger income, but I don't know for sure how much he will get at the new club.

Joselu probably knew that he wouldn't have much time to play for the main team even if he stayed at Real Madrid. It looks like he made the right choice to leave from madrid. Gharafa isn't a big or well-known team, but he can make a good living by playing there. 
Because he thinks it will be hard to beat Mbappe for a starting line up at Real Madrid, he has decided to leave the club. 

Based on what I know, Real Madrid can make him a new offer or even buy him permanently. In the end, Joselu is willing to enjoy his career as a professional football player by playing regularly because he is almost done with his football career, and moving to the gharafa is a good choice.
