Modric is a game changer, how they were able to convince him to stay shows how relevance he is to the club and it's not surprising because despite his mate all left the club, he is still around improving Real Madrid style. If it was about any other coach I would probably agree with you, but I think Pep Guardiola can also be a bit unpredictable and he is a coach who also follows the moment and emotion.
