For goal keeper, 32 years is not old because many top goals keeper keep consistency although have been 40 years old, I don't think with disappointed performance with Andre Onana but Manchester United have bad performance with their defender. Nobody knows what is actually going on with him. All that we know is that he is training hard without a team and is free on the market. It's a tough spot for him but he has to face that alone. I think he might be able to get himself signed if he is willing to adjust a little with his wages. I don't think retirement rumours are true, he still has lot to give.

Age is the advantage that goalkeepers have over players when it comes to the football career. Apart from coaches who always be in the the business even when they are old, other set of people are goalkeepers. Manchester United is also known for keeping their goalkeeper till old age as in the case of Edwin van der Sar. Counting on this David De Gea is barely 32 years, which means he still has more time to keep in his professional career. He could simply sign for any other club to keep for but I do not support the idea that he should return to Manchester United while they have already signed a new goalkeeper. It will be a very big controversy and pressure to both keepers.

I would say Barcelona were also wise not giving him a very long term contract as this will make deal easier, should Xavi not meeting to their requirements then the would part ways without having to pay much like in long term contracts.

I think it is not only the case of De Gea not Getting a team but the reluctance for him not to want to leave European football is the major thing. The Saudi clubs will have definitely make an approach to him but privately. If he wants to continue playing in European league then he needs to think of reducing his weekly wages because no club can afford the 350K. Also he needs to have up his pattern of playing because most coaches now want to have goalkeepers that are also good on their feet because it reduces risk. This balling playing thing is still a major factor why De Gea is still without club

It's possible for him to get an offer easily if he was not always targeting to play in the european competition. There would be also a lot of small clubs might be offering him a job. De gea needs to also decrease his salary if he was still willing to work as a goalkeeper.

But there are other rumors which say that De Gea has been offered to play again with Manchester United and he was previously a goalkeeper with very good performance when defending Manchester United.
Even though Manchester United is currently in a bad phase at least the Red Devils are still a top team.

Sometimes football can be brutal. There are many examples on this subject, but Delle Ali's example is very good. The once great player is now far from his former performance. Neuer is still playing even though his age is more than 37 years. The goal keeper has more time to play rather than another position even though de gea's age was also affecting response from his reflect in blocking the ball.

It will be disappointing to many people if this rumor will be true. De gea was not performing so badly after many years played for united. It's surprising me there's no big club try to consider him as a good goal keeper.
