There is many factors that determine the winner of the Ballon d'Or including winning the most important trophies. I think we all could agree that after World Cup and regional FIFA competitions like EURO, CONMEBOL... we find Champions League in terms of importance. Since there will not be World Cup until 2028 then EURO 2024 and Champions League will have heavy weight in the choice of the winner.
For EURO 2024, Haaland doesn't have a chance at the opposite of the other two especially Mbappe. You say that quite correctly because the Chelsea squad is filled with player with quite high price who they bought in the transfer market and what we see in their performance is certainly nothing impressive. Vinicius Junior is going to stay there in Real Madrid and he is not going to change his team any time soon even because of the bad behavior they have with this player. I think there is racism every where and it's not just about La Liga to some a few teams. Changing the league or changing the team is going to help at all. On the other hand, Vini is an important player in Real Madrid and I'm sure they don't want to lose him at all.
