There are speculations that Marcus Rashford was targeted because of his high pay he receives. Since Manchester United started its cost cutting programs they have been forced to take some hard decisions. Even Rashford believes that Sir Jim Ratcliffe gave Rubem Amorin the task of forcing the English star to leave Old Trafford.
I've the same feeling. You know it's was the Glazers that handed Rashford the lucrative deal and when Jim Ratcliffe came onboard, the fallout with Amorim was just a perfect opportunity to get rid of him. I also think it doesn't end with Rashford, the management is after underperforming highest earners. Casemiro is the next and they're trying hard to force him out of the club by not giving him enough game time. He has fallen down the picking order and he may likely leave during the summer transfer window.

Manchester City finally brought in a new player in the midfield position. Pep Guardiola continues to try to restore Manchester City as many fans have hoped. Continuously experiencing a decline in performance, the team is working well to find out the gaps that need to be fixed in the squad.

Nico Gonzalez to Manchester City from Porto after the agreement was reached. Nico's joining Manchester City, the competition in the midfield will be even stronger. This means that Manchester City already has players in the midfield position with a mix of young and over 30 years old.

City lacks of depth at mid when Rodri was injured. Pep did it right by bringing Nico to the City. He was good enough at Porto, and hopefully, he can be paired with Kovacic.
Rodri's role for Manchester City is very central in every game. It was felt how Manchester City's performance declined when Rodri was not there. I still remember when Rodri made a mistake that made him get a red card, but the team that Manchester City played against at that time was Brentford, I don't remember. Suddenly Manchester City's game was different. This season feels very much without him and De Bruyne also didn't find the right partner after Rodri was injured.
Indeed, football is a team sport, not an individual sport, so it doesn't sound so right regarding Rodri's role.
Nico is expected to be the difference that can spoil Haaland.
I think Manchester city mian  problem is thier head coach not thier squad depth. I have noticed current season that the real reason behind the downfall of manchester city team is not instability and weakness of the player, but the fault in the head coach or tactical area. We should understand that Pep philosophy is now outdated and man city should try a new coach. Pep managed Manchester City very well in earlier days and won consecutive huge achievement but now I believe that Pep Guardiola tactics don't work for them anymore. Pep should change his tactics with modern football. Because everyone knows that currently Manchester City has the most valuable player in their squad depth at in current football world, but still the team output is very bad. They lost again Arsenal which humiliated them like a lay club. Therefore, I think that there is only one way to get Manchester out of this bad zone, and that is to make someone else head coach instead of Pep.

If i were Duran, i would also accept Al Nassr's offer. He received 5 times more than this salary at Villa, also no tax for his salary. He received 300k a week!!!! Man this is amazing salary received by him. He can make millions easily from playing for Al Nassr, he also got a luxury life provided by his club.

He'll also get a chance to play with one of the best players to ever play the game and that's Cristiano Ronaldo, he'll be getting lots of publicity too as there's alot of media attention on Al Nassr as they have Cristiano Ronaldo in the club. He can build his brade well to get lots of audience if he plays very well and help Al Nassr to try and compete for the league title. He made the best decision for his career as he wouldn't have gotten that amount if he stayed in Europe and played all the football that he can try to play. The money will make him set for life if he manage to invest most of the money he makes wisely and not waste them clubbing and spoiling his career.
If we talk about financially of course his move to the Arab league we can say has been guaranteed for him, especially with the salary and all the luxuries he gets at this time, but on the other hand it is possible that his career will be hampered there and he has lost the opportunity to be able to play at the highest trophy level of football, namely the UCL, but apart from that of course as long as he can guarantee his future and still be able to continue his football career even outside Europe of course it is a good thing, because the main goal of every football players is actually money although trophies like the UCL are also an ambition in their life.
It is good he likely endorses joining the Saudi League, at just age 21 to be making such huge amount. He shouldn't be bothered about playing in top European league or UCL, lot's of players are looking for this opportunity to be wanted meanwhile 21 years is still in his peak age, if he obviously performs well there in Saudi he can still move back in less than some years and still make out his future.

My concern is Rashford, we know how bad performing he has been in United, this loan move supposed to be a redemption to his carrier, he will be playing in the UCL along Aston Villa who already made it to the round of 16, much is anticipated from him, not in his arrival will the team hence begin to slack.

These guys do this job for money, and it's normal for them to go where they give the most.
Duran rightly chose parayo.
He is still very young, but he probably wanted to try his luck, thinking that maybe such an opportunity would not come again in the future.
The fact that he was getting six times what he got from Villa was an attractive offer for him.
If he reaches the top-flight goal count there, his weekly salary could increase even further.
Being in the same team with Ronaldo will improve him greatly.
Now, Arabian teams may want to pay more money to young players and make the league younger.
I've never heard of a younger player signing than John Duran.

I think Guardiola is transferring Nico to fill the gap in the midfield in the best way possible. They will pay him around 60 million Euros. Manchester City is being very generous in the mid-season transfer period. As far as I know, the transfer investigation is still ongoing. If they cannot explain the amount of money for all these transfers, a big problem may be waiting for them. The heavy defeat they suffered against Arsenal is now causing the problems in Manchester City to become even more pronounced.

It is obvious that Jhon Duran is not interested in winning the Ballon D or or other prestigious trophies in Europe. He is going for the money and he is searching for it at an early age. He might end up making a name for himself in the Saudi Professional League and maybe come back to Europe after he has achieved his financial aim.

Rashford is not a poor-performing player. The player just needs a good coach who can help him recover his lost form. And I guess Aston Villa is a good club for him now. At least he has escaped from a club that doesn't want his services. Hopefully, Unai Emery will bring the best out of Rashford.

Yes I agree with your opinion, after all playing in a club that is experiencing a decline will make it difficult for the player to develop and lack confidence, especially since he does not get many playing minutes at Man United so it is useless if he continues to be maintained. Aston Villa's performance is better than Man United so every player who plays here will feel confident and maybe that's what Rashford will feel later, hopefully he can return to his best performance again so he can continue to play at Aston Villa without having to return to MU.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/33137381/marcus-rashford-aston-villa-loan-transfer-man-utd/#

With his high wage still intact and Aston Villa's group stage success in the UEFA champions, Rashford had to grab the opportunity. And with the money Aston Villa made from the sale of Jhon Duran to Saudi Arabia, they would be able to pay their part of Rashford's salary.

He made a good decision. In recent years, many players who went to Manchester United have declined in performance, and even the players who were already at Manchester United have declined in performance, but when the players left Manchester United, they had good performance. That's why, in my opinion, the problem is not with Marcus Rashford, the problem is with Manchester United.
Of course this is the right decision for Rashford to get playing minutes, and at least he moved to a better team in the standings. Aston Villa, which was previously a mid-table club, continued to improve and improve itself with good management and a good coach, finally being able to compete at the top of the Premier League and the Champions League. Rather than staying at Man United, he actually found it difficult to get playing minutes and who knows what's in Man United, it's getting worse in the Premier League.

All the players who have left and left Man United, have all turned into pretty good players at their respective clubs. Starting from Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood, Scott McTominey, Jadon Sancho, Antony and now it's Marcus Rashford's turn, can he be better at Aston Villa, I can't wait for his debut. I even think if Altay Bayindir leaves Man United his playing career will continue to develop.

I also salute Aston Villa in this transfer market. For me, Aston Villa is the most careful club in dismantling and installing players in the current winter transfer market.

Everyone thinks that all players that have left Manchester United are doing well but they fail to actually agree that this players actually are doing well in a lower club than Manchester United, for me most of these players that left weren’t Manchester United standard as they couldn’t live up to expectations of playing for a bigger club. Only few of this departed players will actually come out and say they were starved of playing time. Most of them had too many opportunities to turn around their careers at Manchester United and they couldn’t and later they got relegated to the bench.

For me the one thing that makes this players play better at their new clubs which we all know weren’t offering them same wages as Manchester United was because they are too pompous at United and felt untouchable but right now at their clubs they know they can be booed for bad performance and aren’t bigger than the club there so they put in a big fight or step up their games. I can say Manchester United departures of recent aren’t missed at the club even with the club having its difficult because even when they were present they didn’t do anything

@AVFCOfficial
Aston Villa is delighted to announce the loan signing of three-time Champions League winner Marco Asensio from Paris Saint-Germain.
https://x.com/AVFCOfficial/status/1886490457972334619
Watkins isn't great anymore? So Aston Villa needs a better striker than him, so many loan players have been made by Aston Villa including Marcus Rashford... This will be a deadly duel in the Champions League. Grin
So we will see these players will make their first debut in the Champions League this may be interesting as they are highly anticipated by Aston Villa fans.

You guys are talking as if it is safe to say that Rashford will certainly get more playing time at Aston Villa than he did at Manchester United. I don't know whether this is really true. If he performs the same way for Aston Villa that he performed for Manchester United, I think it'll take less than a month and he will be sitting on the bench all the time again. You said it yourself, he can't prove himself in a weal team, but now everyone thinks he can prove himself in an even stronger team as they are better off in the standings. Rashford is like an unpredictable variable. Nobody can tell how he will be doing. Everybody can tell the guy got some talent. He does, but that talent is worthless if it doesn't lead to any output. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now and we'll know rather sooner than later whether this was the freeing move he needed.

The UEFA Champions League is important for a team like the Villans. They don't jeopardize their chances because earning a spot in UCL was really vital. Unai Emery is always present to make decisive strategies for his side, employing more comprehending sectors that would serve its purpose for the club. Aston Villa management is extremely careful when dealing with the specified situation on ground. They're doing everything within their reach to ensure having solid development doesn't take time.

Ollie Watkins have contributed a whole lot to the progressing status of the club. He banged goals for Aston Villa and he's still consider a key player under the new project of Graham Potter. This is exactly what we're talking about, Potter needs time to settled in Westham, he knows how to control the club and bring out the very best qualities from this particular club. The team looked into different species when they're considering more confident players and Rashford is on the list.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/33137381/marcus-rashford-aston-villa-loan-transfer-man-utd/#

With his high wage still intact and Aston Villa's group stage success in the UEFA champions, Rashford had to grab the opportunity. And with the money Aston Villa made from the sale of Jhon Duran to Saudi Arabia, they would be able to pay their part of Rashford's salary.

It's quite funny that although Aston Villa consistently rank above United and are in the Champions League this season, while United are in the Europa League, this move is a step down. And the fact that he is going to Aston Villa is proof that no top club is interested in him anymore (like PSG once was).
It will be interesting to see if he can prove himself there or if football has completely left him.
I feel the Manchester United board were clumsy About the Marcus Rashford situation, no matter how you try to look at things, there was a way they could come in to mend things between Amorim and Rashford, even before the young man left for Aston villa, Amorim didn't allow him play for a good number of games for a player that was still very feet and has potential, it wasn't looking like he had a better option in those games though, his direct disposition on Rashford was unprofessional as a coach and as a one time footballer, the whole drama for me was looking like he had a personal Vendetta against the youngster. If not for the way things where, I'm sure Rashford wouldn't have settled for an Aston villa.

Yeah the midfield role is a very important role in a team and when the midfield is ineffective the defense will suffer as well as the attack and that has been a problem for Guardiola since Rodri’s absence. Mateo Kovačić was brought in to fill this gap but obviously isn’t as efficient as Rodri was so they also need to strengthen in that area of the pitch.

Mateo Kovacic was not brought in to replace Rodri, he's not a DM, and he's not a ball-winner either. Although he consistently presses his opponent, he gets tired easily.
Manchester City have almost completed the signing of Nico Gonzalez just as I thought. They really need a new midfielder in the defensive midfield position.
If Nico Gonzalez fits into the team well and Pep gets the best out of him, he can hold down the DM position until Rodrid comes. With the way they play, not being able to press and bad in transition, they stand no chance against Madrid. Hopefully, the new signings make them stronger.

We are experiencing hectic times towards the last days of the transfer. Batshuayi, who plays for Galatasaray, was transferred to Frankfurt today.
When Frankfurt sold striker Marmoush to City, they want to fill the vacant place with Batshuayi, but I think this transfer is wrong.
Because Batshuayi was a substitute player in Galatasaray and he could not be very effective when he entered the match later. Because he mostly plays ball standing still. I did not see features such as fighting and running. The Bundesliga is a harder and faster league. I am looking forward to seeing how he will be included in the squad here and what kind of performance he will perform. Frankfurt bought Batshuayi on a transfer fee, but they will most likely part ways at the end of the year.  There is no effective performance in Batshuayi. He spent his best period in Fenerbahçe in Turkey, but went to Galatasaray at the beginning of the year. It flies from place to place like migratory birds. I wouldn't be surprised if his destination soon is one of the Arabian teams.

Regardless of whether this is a step forward or backward, I quite agree that indeed for now it seems like a slight decline is felt because for now it seems that interest in Rashford has decreased because his performance is not as solid as before, especially with a large market value and high salary, he should actually try to be more introspective with his performance this time.

But the move to leave Manchester United is also the right decision for both parties, both for Rashford and Mancehster United because after all, by looking at the current situation it seems that there is no match between Manchester United and Rashford so forcing it will only make both clubs not in good form in the end.

Hopefully this step can make Rashford get better again and lift his lost performance because he actually has potential but the ego that previously had enlarged made his performance slowly disappear.

Just saw this report few minutes ago that Chelsea and Portugal forward Joao Felix have reached agreement to skcnyfir AC Milan till the remainder of the season. Felix during his early days at Atletico Madrid was regarded as the future of European football but he's failed to live up to expectations and us now been loaned from one club to another. Last two seasons, he was loaned to Chelsea from Atletico and just last season, he spent it at Barcelona before Chelsea signed him on permanent basis last summer so what's the essence of loaning him out again? Well, I think this move to AC Milan will provide him more playing minutes which he can seize the opportunity to return back to his best again

Some of these clubs don't know what they have until they lose it and Chelsea has come across this same thing of letting some of their best players go and it will later hurt them badly. The case of KDB leaving Chelsea and coming back to England to play against Chelsea, the case of Salah who wasn't regarded as anything important, left the side and came back more better than when he was at Chelsea and you think this move is good for the club? No way, Felix is one hell of a player but Enzo Maresca is busy chasing shadows instead of focusing on what he have, I feel bad for him to leave the Blues on loan. They can never get any player like Felix in a long while till they realize that he has a bigger contribution to give to the team.

From the beginning Joao Felix was not Chelsea's priority and from the many Chelsea players I also thought that Felix would not be able to become a main player in the squad, I think Chelsea made this player permanent still wanting to see Felix's ability and he was given several opportunities to play even though with little time and maybe that was enough to make Enzo Maresca understand that he could not meet the club's expectations and finally Chelsea loaned him to Milan, hopefully his move to the Italian League will make Felix better and more productive because so far as a striker he is still far from expectations.

He was only once a priority when he went from Portugal to Atletico Madrid for the first time and it was a very bad move from both sides. He seemed to be the next big player, but he never delivered on all these hopes and promises. It is a little bit better this season as he has now played 20 games, scored 7 goals and gave 2 assists, but I think it is still less than his coaches were hoping for and especially Atletico Madrid, which back at the time paid more than 100 million I think? I am not exactly sure, but it was an incredible amount of money for that guy while he hasn't really proven anything thus far.

He still hasn't become a starter and now his next adventure starts at AC Milan. He reminds me of Lukaku, who turned into a serious mercenary and literally played for every club in Europe in every country. I doubt that this is now the club he needs to finally get the recognition that everyone thought he would deserve.

Some managers think their performances don't fit the game plan or strategy that they are implementing so they let players go to other clubs. Felix didn't get much of a chance under Enzo Maresca because maybe he thought Palmer's performance was much better and if you look at Chelsea's performances under his coaching it has actually improved so his decision is considered right. Felix is indeed a great player but sometimes the coach has a different view so the decision to release the existing player is a natural thing and even other teams do the same thing, even though we see the player has the best quality. For me in football it is natural because there are players who come and there are also players who leave the club.

With his high wage still intact and Aston Villa's group stage success in the UEFA champions, Rashford had to grab the opportunity. And with the money Aston Villa made from the sale of Jhon Duran to Saudi Arabia, they would be able to pay their part of Rashford's salary.
I mean UCL part is just added bonus, because lets face it Villa won't be getting a win there at all, nobody assumes they can go and win it, so all Rashford will get there is just getting knocked off. However, if we are talking about payment, that would be the real real reason, because dude wanted to keep getting paid and now he is getting paid.

From what I know, United is still paying both Antony and Rashford a bit, not 100% at least anymore, but not 0% neither if I am not wrong, which is a bad deal, I wish they could just sell and get rid of them, but they will probably fail to do that. But, the main reason was that they wanted to get rid of people who didn't put 100% at training, and certainly not at games. They did that, at least two, now they are waiting for Casemiro.
