It's quite funny that although Aston Villa consistently rank above United and are in the Champions League this season, while United are in the Europa League, this move is a step down. And the fact that he is going to Aston Villa is proof that no top club is interested in him anymore (like PSG once was).
It will be interesting to see if he can prove himself there or if football has completely left him.

No need to rush to judge if it has not been proven, Rashford needs to play a few matches and the results can be seen. I have the same opinion, but there is nothing wrong with letting Emery formulate a strategy that suits Rashford. Because, so far he has been absent from many matches with Man United so it is quite difficult to judge the performance of a Rashford. Maybe he has learned a lot and improved the quality of his play.

Yeah the midfield role is a very important role in a team and when the midfield is ineffective the defense will suffer as well as the attack and that has been a problem for Guardiola since Rodri’s absence. Mateo Kovačić was brought in to fill this gap but obviously isn’t as efficient as Rodri was so they also need to strengthen in that area of the pitch.
The midfield is the heart of the team and when it is weak then the team suffers a lot, the opponent get to penetrate through the defense easily. This is really what Manchester City is suffering from since the absence of Rodri, Rodri absence is felt deeply because he plays the most important role and plays it perfectly by connecting every department properly. They need to sign a backup defensive midfielder to manage the team when Rodri is absent because I don’t think Kovacic can fill the gap because his style of play is very different and cannot manage the DM role all by himself, he is used to playing alongside another midfielder in the double pivot.

Mateo Kovacic was not brought in to replace Rodri, he's not a DM, and he's not a ball-winner either. Although he consistently presses his opponent, he gets tired easily.
Manchester City have almost completed the signing of Nico Gonzalez just as I thought. They really need a new midfielder in the defensive midfield position.
If Nico Gonzalez fits into the team well and Pep gets the best out of him, he can hold down the DM position until Rodrid comes. With the way they play, not being able to press and bad in transition, they stand no chance against Madrid. Hopefully, the new signings make them stronger.
Kovacic was not signed for this role, he is just being managed due to Rodri absence and even though he is not as efficient he should be applauded as he as managed it well more than i expected. Kovacic is a box to box type of midfielder that’s why he can’t play efficiently as Rodri. They need a new Defensive Midfielder that can fill in for Rodri perfectly else they will keep suffering and I also don’t see them performing well against Real Madrid.

Manchester City finally brought in a new player in the midfield position. Pep Guardiola continues to try to restore Manchester City as many fans have hoped. Continuously experiencing a decline in performance, the team is working well to find out the gaps that need to be fixed in the squad.

Nico Gonzalez to Manchester City from Porto after the agreement was reached. Nico's joining Manchester City, the competition in the midfield will be even stronger. This means that Manchester City already has players in the midfield position with a mix of young and over 30 years old.

This addition was very much needed for Manchester city. When the transfer window opened, I thought the midfield was going to be the first place Manchester city would recruit, but they didn't thinking that they could manage until Rodri is back. I believe After the Arsenal humbling, it was obvious to them that they needed to get a Midfielder. I'm very happy with this signing, because it obvious that the available players in their midfield that are over 30 are not doing the job perfectly, that's why city have been having poor results almost every weekend. Let's Hope that Nico Gonzalez will provide that needed covering in city midfield. Going by his profile, he's quite a good player and has been very instrumental to the Porto team. Let's hope he can adapt quickly to the premier League and Manchester city pattern of play.

When we all expected manchester city to get into trouble with 115 cases, but instead what we see now is that they are still very free in shopping for players and even in this winter alone they have spent almost 212 million euros to recruit new players, so this tells us that they are indeed in a safe condition despite all the allegations, the signing of Nico Gonzales will be their last signing of the season and I think after the bad results they got this season they moved quickly to cover every weakness, including the hole left by Rodry, the signing of Nico Gonzales could be a long-term investment for them especially since he is a player who is suitable to play deeper in midfield and he has proven his ability at Porto, so let's see if his signing can have a positive impact or not at all.

Some managers think their performances don't fit the game plan or strategy that they are implementing so they let players go to other clubs. Felix didn't get much of a chance under Enzo Maresca because maybe he thought Palmer's performance was much better and if you look at Chelsea's performances under his coaching it has actually improved so his decision is considered right. Felix is indeed a great player but sometimes the coach has a different view so the decision to release the existing player is a natural thing and even other teams do the same thing, even though we see the player has the best quality. For me in football it is natural because there are players who come and there are also players who leave the club.
That's right, the coach knows better which players are suitable for the tactics he will make regardless of whether the individual player is good but if he can't blend in with the coach's tactics then he still won't be used, that's the full right of the coach and the steps taken by Enzo Maresca I think are very appropriate and on the other hand for Felix's career it's also better when he goes to another team and gets much more playing minutes making the percentage of his career to increase much greater.

Now Enzo Maresca has been quite successful in making better changes to Chelsea's performance compared to previous seasons I think this is Chelsea's best season with Enzo Maresca and he also has a better chance if given time to process with Chelsea so I think whatever Enzo Maresca does must be supported.

Just saw this report few minutes ago that Chelsea and Portugal forward Joao Felix have reached agreement to skcnyfir AC Milan till the remainder of the season. Felix during his early days at Atletico Madrid was regarded as the future of European football but he's failed to live up to expectations and us now been loaned from one club to another. Last two seasons, he was loaned to Chelsea from Atletico and just last season, he spent it at Barcelona before Chelsea signed him on permanent basis last summer so what's the essence of loaning him out again? Well, I think this move to AC Milan will provide him more playing minutes which he can seize the opportunity to return back to his best again
From the beginning Joao Felix was not Chelsea's priority and from the many Chelsea players I also thought that Felix would not be able to become a main player in the squad, I think Chelsea made this player permanent still wanting to see Felix's ability and he was given several opportunities to play even though with little time and maybe that was enough to make Enzo Maresca understand that he could not meet the club's expectations and finally Chelsea loaned him to Milan, hopefully his move to the Italian League will make Felix better and more productive because so far as a striker he is still far from expectations.
I think Joao Felix can be successful in Milan. Milan is an important team in Italy and we have seen that they are ineffective in many positions in attack. I think they can overcome this with Felix. Felix will be a good option for Milan and if things go well, he can be transferred permanently at the end of the year.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/33137381/marcus-rashford-aston-villa-loan-transfer-man-utd/#

There are speculations that Marcus Rashford was targeted because of his high pay he receives. Since Manchester United started its cost cutting programs they have been forced to take some hard decisions. Even Rashford believes that Sir Jim Ratcliffe gave Rubem Amorin the task of forcing the English star to leave Old Trafford.

With his high wage still intact and Aston Villa's group stage success in the UEFA champions, Rashford had to grab the opportunity. And with the money Aston Villa made from the sale of Jhon Duran to Saudi Arabia, they would be able to pay their part of Rashford's salary.

I feel the Manchester United board were clumsy About the Marcus Rashford situation, no matter how you try to look at things, there was a way they could come in to mend things between Amorim and Rashford, even before the young man left for Aston villa, Amorim didn't allow him play for a good number of games for a player that was still very feet and has potential, it wasn't looking like he had a better option in those games though, his direct disposition on Rashford was unprofessional as a coach and as a one time footballer, the whole drama for me was looking like he had a personal Vendetta against the youngster. If not for the way things where, I'm sure Rashford wouldn't have settled for an Aston villa.
Marcus Rashford has been playing for Manchester United for a long time and the player has contributed well in many matches for Manchester United at times even though the performance of this player has not been consistent. Perhaps the current manager is not interested in retaining this player because of his inconsistent performance. If this player leaves Manchester United and goes to another club, then Manchester United must replace him with a good quality player because this player was a regular striker for Manchester United. Manchester United will fail more than succeed if the manager tries to play with bench players instead of replacing them. That is why every transfer should be done according to the plan. If one player comes to the club as opposed to another good player, everyone will take it very well but if the performance is worse than good then the manager will face criticism.

Serie - A is a tougher league than the Premier League and I think Felix will not be able to hold on here either.
Milan is a very smart club. He sent 32-year-old Morata with a rental fee of 6 million euros and transferred striker Joao Felix instead.
Felix has traveled a lot at a young age, and if he continues like this, it looks like he will go to other places too.
While even Morata could not deliver what was expected in Milan in terms of physical strength, I do not think Felix can achieve this.
I think it was a dead investment for Milan.

Are you hoping Rashford to always watching his club from the bench, and always being excluded from the squad due to the technical reason by Amorim? No, it's a big no! He is still young enough and getting less minutes is a disaster for his career.

There's nothing wrong from this move. 6 months loan, same salary, and he's back again to his club at the end of season. It's not a step down for him. He still plays in PL, but only in the different club.

While the other teams make absurd market blows, such as Milan with Joao Felix, Juventus sold a very interesting player to Fiorentina and it is Nicolo Fagioli, an attacker who was really attached to the Juventus shirt, this transfer reminds me that by Kean, another player who had not been able to explode at Juventus but who is now doing very well to Fiorentina

Some of these clubs don't know what they have until they lose it and Chelsea has come across this same thing of letting some of their best players go and it will later hurt them badly. The case of KDB leaving Chelsea and coming back to England to play against Chelsea, the case of Salah who wasn't regarded as anything important, left the side and came back more better than when he was at Chelsea and you think this move is good for the club? No way, Felix is one hell of a player but Enzo Maresca is busy chasing shadows instead of focusing on what he have, I feel bad for him to leave the Blues on loan. They can never get any player like Felix in a long while till they realize that he has a bigger contribution to give to the team.

Someone like Felix has done what it takes to be in the first 11 of Chelsea but yet the manager doesn't see any reason to play this guy Felix and when you talk about Palmer, if not for the way he showed how good he is during the time of the other managers when he joined from City and how the fans loved how he changes the outcome of the game, if not that Enzo Maresca won't have seen him as a best option. Coming to Felix, things haven't been going well for him right from whwn he was at ATM and if he isn't good or doesn't suit Maresca's plan I don't see why Enzo always start him when they play the conference league, the thing is Maresca is confused on who to start for who and it pains me that he always prefers the guys who mess up the game for the club the more, example Jackson and some times Madueke.

Well, I think this move to AC Milan will provide him more playing minutes which he can seize the opportunity to return back to his best again

A symbiotic-mutualism between Milan and Chelsea. Felix's transfer to the Milan was not surprising me, he lacks of minutes in Chelsea due to the tough competition with Palmer. He has to go to the serie a, which is a good move consider he's still young.

He can dig more experience to play at the top team of serie a. I also wonder whether there is a special relationship between Chelsea and Milan. Plenties of Chelsea players gone to Milan since a few years ago i.e Morata, Giroud, RLC, Pulisic and many more.

Morata has already left for Galatasaray, so apparently Milan are not satisfied with Morata's performance in this one and I don't think Joao Felix will do better than Morata. Conceicao is a very demanding coach and already several have left for other clubs on loan including Morata, Tomori and Calabria. So apparently Joao Felix had no other options to play on loan at a top club. Initially his transfer looked very strange, especially after his first loan spell in 2023, when Felix was not put in the squad by Chelsea's head coach at the time Frank Lampard.

Yes I agree with your opinion, after all playing in a club that is experiencing a decline will make it difficult for the player to develop and lack confidence, especially since he does not get many playing minutes at Man United so it is useless if he continues to be maintained. Aston Villa's performance is better than Man United so every player who plays here will feel confident and maybe that's what Rashford will feel later, hopefully he can return to his best performance again so he can continue to play at Aston Villa without having to return to MU.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/33137381/marcus-rashford-aston-villa-loan-transfer-man-utd/#

We can’t blame Amorim for Rashford fall from grace, it is totally understandable that a player who has been contributing less to the team’s improvement and earning so much needs to be cut off because looking at Manchester United and comparing the current team to the old days, I will say the club has suffered so much in recent years and they need a change urgently even if it requires cutting down expenses and caryrying out an overhaul to eradicate dead woods to free up space for new recruitments. I have strong belief that more players will follow at the end of the season.

Joao Felix could be an important player for the incomplete Milan squad. They added him to their squad on loan, but perhaps his performance until the end of the season will allow him to return to the Premier League. The Portuguese player was far from the expected performance with Chelsea at the moment. Maybe he will find himself again in the Italian League. I see this transfer as logical for Milan. However, I do not understand why they sent Alvaro Morata.

Rashford can prove that he is still worthy and has quality, but the attitude problem seems to be a homework that he must fix. It seems that Unay Emery has big plans with several players that he brought in this transfer such as Donyell Malen, Marcus Rasford and maybe Marco Asensio will follow soon. Unay Emery currently has several players that he can rotate, or as a substitute player. What is clear is that if Rashford can play as he should, Aston Villa has a new strength in its front line. Marcus Rashford can actually be relied on, he can also play in various positions and if Rashford can adapt well and establish a strong bond with his new colleagues, this player can actually be relied on. And if he is able to prove his quality, I think Aston Villa will pay the purchase option clause with a value of £ 40 million in June. Well, we'll see how Rashford's debut with Aston Villa is, but it seems he will start playing from the bench.
He had that chance at United, nobody was against him personally or something, dude could have played hard and gain his time. All he had to do was show himself playing hard in training if he did that then he would have been given time during the games as well. But instead, he didn't put himself fully committed to training, which made him not only fail to get time, but also fail to even stay at the team.

Why do people think that he will suddenly go to Villa and give his 100% when he didn't do that at United? I agree that for a first few weeks, or maybe even a month or two, he may show more than what he has shown at United, to "prove" that he is good, but then because his characteristic isn't a hard worker, he will stop caring and he will become bad. I guarantee you that last 3-4 weeks of the season, he will be a terrible player, and next season he will stay being a terrible player yet again. He will only be good for maximum of 2 months, probably less.

Marcus Rashford stands out as the first name to leave Manchester United. He went to Aston Villa on loan but will probably leave the team completely at the end of the year. Now we will all watch how he performs with Aston Villa. He hasn't had much chance to play for Manchester United lately. I hope he returns to his old form. Because I remember him from the times when he was in form, he was a very good player.

If the same players continue to play in United, no good results will be achieved in EPL. Since there was a change of coach, some players also need to be replaced. Therefore, Rashford leaving United is not a big deal because he has no place in the club anymore. More players need to be sold out for new players who will transform the team to come in.

Apparently this forest should not end with one Rashford, and on the one hand Rashford played at a time when Manchester United was a good team and he was with them when difficult times came. Fans have long been saying that Rashford has changed, but I do not believe that the problem was only with Rashford.

Manchester United played many matches without him and they were even worse than with ten Hag, this does not mean that all the players are bad and everyone needs to be changed, and Amorim is unlikely to change anything with a few transfers.

Manchester United played many matches without him and they were even worse than with ten Hag, this does not mean that all the players are bad and everyone needs to be changed, and Amorim is unlikely to change anything with a few transfers.

as a coach, it is expected of him that he should be tactical enough to make his decision not based on the expectation of fans but based on what he knows is what the team needs that will bring them back to getting good result. of cause, the Manchester united problem is not just a simple man's problem that one can assume that selling a particular player will change things or doing a complete overhaul of players is enough to do the magic in the team. Rashford is not at his best but him alone is not the problem of united. even without him, the misery lingers on till both the coach and the management are able to get things right.

after staying for a single club right from his academy to this moment and has had a gross stay that is literally above 20 years, he deserves to taste what it means like to play in another team and maybe he has actually overstayed his welcome at united and that might just be the reason why the motivation to improve and fight for the badge and dropped down so drastically.
