There are many rumours related to Nico Williams recently.

This one says that he is closer to Barcelona but I remember that I read on another source like he would prefer to sign for Arsenal instead.  Grin

We don't even know whether Barcelona will be able to register him though. They barely registered Olmo you know. But honestly I would rather watching him at Barcelona side by side with Yamal.

It's certainly not about Lewandowski's age, even putting all factors aside, he has extended his contract until the summer of 2026, after which he is no longer likely to continue playing for this club, he will either end his career or go elsewhere, but he is unlikely to perform at the same level as he is now. Barcelona are now emphasising youth, which is generally correct, but they can now afford to buy someone from outside rather than taking a player from the academy and developing him further

Developing a player from the academy should be the best option for Barcelona to use for the long time benefit of the team. I just belive in building young players from scratch and that is what I expect Barcelona to do at this stage they are now. It will cost them less and also have a very great advantage in terms of teams cohesion in the pitch and how they improve their quality through getting to play together always for a longer time. They did that during the time of Messi and they can’t see how beneficial it was to them at that time. If they can replicate the same, I don’t think they will have a problem for the long time from now.

Now, if Lewandowski leaves at the end of his contract, they will begin to look for replacement which will cost them more and may only get to use the replacement for a short time until he’s worn out and they begin to look for another one, as suggest to when they build a young player from the academy for the long term benefit of the club.

Having one more defensive midfielder is unnecessary, it's better for Manchester United to swap Zirkzee with Vlahovic, even Manchester United need to give additional fees.
I remember seeing a Vlahovic swap deal a month ago. Judging from how that went, I guess it's safe to assume the United recruitment team feels like the move isn't worth it (or the media just spread rumor as usual). On the other hand, I read an article saying that Juve will likely sell him at the end of this season and Arsenal will be his next destination. I wonder if this move will help Vlahovic rediscover his form again or not, but it's probably a good deal Arsenal got him at a cheap price.

What do you guys think about this swap? Is it worthy?

I think it's very worthy for Manchester United to swap. United lacked depth on its mid, and sign Douglas can help them to fix it. The better they swap Zirkzee for Douglas instead of keep Zirkzee much longer.

Zirkzee is a failed striker in PL, and i saw no chance for him to growth. It's a no brainer deal to swap him with Douglas. If i were United owner, i would send a letter to Juventus to accept this deal.

Of course, Luiz to Manchester united is a very good deal if they feel that Zirkzee is the perfect player for the swap. But personally, I will still look at it from different angle. Zirkzee was never from the English premier league, which means whatever performance that he had in whatever league he was, didn't come with him. I can't really say that he's a failed striker, considering how other players has underperformed as well. Hojlund for example isn't even doing the supposed job of a striker either, but the pressure has just been on Zirkzee due to the hype from day one. Too many expectations, when he wasn't even a world class in his former club.

Like I said, Luiz to United will be a good deal, but how well will Luiz perform in the red shirt. He might be a failure too, who knows. It takes lucks these days for clubs to get a player that won't be a liability or weaken to the team. But, I will definitely like to see Luiz in that red shirt alongside Bruno.

In fact, Barcelona managed to bring in young star players from the youth academy during this period when they were experiencing financial difficulties. Lamine Yamal in particular continues to leave his mark on world football. If they can produce a striker from a young youth academy like Lewandowski, I think Barcelona can maintain this squad for a long time. Most of the players are young and due to financial difficulties they have to turn to free agents. They also have to keep experienced players like Lewandowski.

Lewandowski will be retained, at least as long as he continues to contribute and be productive. However, in the hot transfer window later, Barca must bring in another striker as a backup. It's not just a matter of age, Lewandowski certainly won't play in all competitions that Barcelona participates in. Barca actually has Feran Torres, unfortunately this player is inconsistent and difficult to rely on when Barcelona plays against big teams in various events. At the La Masia Academy, Barcelona does not have a pure striker who is worthy of being a backup for Lewandowski, while Pau Victor is rarely given many minutes to prove his abilities. Unlike Lamine Yamal, he is a mainstay in his squad. Meanwhile, for the center forward position, not many academy players have emerged. So, there is no choice if Flick wants his players to be more competitive, especially for next season, they have to bring them in, especially if no academy products enter the main squad. Barca needs a backup for Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Lewa. If they have them, Barcelona next season can be much stronger than this season.

Barcelona will have a big headache if they can't sign a player with the same level of skills as Lewandowski. Currently Lewandowski has played 22 games and scored 19 goals, while Raphinha has played 23 games and scored 13 goals. Lamine Yamal has played 20 games and scored 5 goals. This means that Barcelona's most important player at the moment is Lewandowski and I haven't seen a replacement yet. In my opinion, next season Barcelona should try to sign Victor Osimhen.

That's shit how Juventus is really confusing me now. They have been linked to the Zirkzee last weeks, and now they're changing their interest for Hojlund. However, it seems they only wanted a striker who has exp at serie a, but how inconsistent they are.

Hopefully, Juve will send that offer at the summer transfer, then United can send Hojlund to the Turin as soon as possible. I think cash in hojlund for 40 million is a sensical decision or swap him with Vlahovic, maybe?
Obviously you can sense confusion in all this, however they could still be mere rumors and not true. Juventus have options in attack in their team, they have Dusan Vlahovic and recently recruited Kolo Muani who is in good scoring form though he was signed on loan for the rest of the season so I doubt the authenticity of this news.

Age is a big factor in the game of football, when big clubs make big contracts, they give a lot of priority to performance and the age of the player. There are many differences between a young talented footballer and an older footballer. A young footballer is less likely to get injured but an older footballer is more likely to get injured. Also, a young footballer can be developed by a club which results in the club later selling the footballer to another club for a high price, but not the case of an older footballer. At the end of a certain period, it is seen that these older footballers leave the club, but most of the clubs do not get much money in return for this departure.
Lewandowski has extended his contract with Barcelona until 2026. I think he will perform well this year but then Barcelona may not be interested in renewing the contract.

It's very interesting to see Isaak has declared his interest to play for Liverpool. I think he will fit to the club, and it's good for Liverpool to sell Nunez, then add more money to sign him from Newcastle.

It will better if he can forces his club to decrease his release clause, then he can move to the Liverpool asap.

Liverpool combined with him is gonna be a great combination. I hope that is gonna happen soon.
I can’t say I’m surprised that Isak is interested in the move. Liverpool may very well win the Premier League title this season and who doesn't like playing for a team that has a winning mentality? Liverpool is an elite team and as such attracts some of the best footballing talent around the world. It's nice seeing one of the most standout players in the Premier League, I think Alexander Isak will be a great addition for Liverpool.

If Liverpool really is serious about signing Alexander Isak then it would be best for them to offload Nunez first because I don't think Nunez has much to contribute, even though he was signed for a very expensive fee. So if Liverpool can sell him, Liverpool can at least minimize their losses and can use the funds to bring in Alexander Isak.

Alexander Isak has had a good run at Newcastle, so it stands to reason why Liverpool is interested in him and it looks like Isak is keen on Liverpool too. Now we just have to wait and see whether all of this will come true, and if Newcastle set a reasonable price for Alexander Isak, then the transfer looks likely to happen.

Lewa is still playing at a high level in Barcelona, but no one can predict what will happen next year. Maybe he is in his last year of performance, who knows. Maybe he can play in the Saudi Arabian Pro League for a year or two and earn his last money before he retires. Since he was so successful in Spain, I think he will be successful in the Saudi league as well.

Seriously, the idea of packing all good players into a single team while the others are left to struggle with some bunch of average players don't even make much sense. Liverpool already have a lot of players and attacking options that are helping them do really well as a team, bringing Alexander isak to join them who stands as the toughest and the brain behind the recent success of Newcastle will only make the league to remain in the hands of the usual teams that have these kind of quality player.

If the deal goes through and he joins Liverpool, he's going to be a huge threat and become really better because of the assistance he will get from his fellow teammates that are also very good in their own way. Add up a goal scoring machine like Alexander isak to Mohamed Salah and watch Liverpool going completely into beast mood.

Nunez could still remain in the club and serve as a backup or an attacking partner with Isak. But Liverpool might want to sell Nunez to balance their accounts. With the performance of the Uruguayan footballer decreasing, Liverpool might not be able to sell him for a high amount. Clubs will offer very low price for him, which means Livepool will seek for funds to bring the Newcastle United goal scoring machine. Liverpool will have lots of transfer issues to settle with some important players not extending contracts.

Seeing both Marcus Rashford and Casemiro earning such a massive amount without contributing much is quite funny.
What has football turned to these days. Casimero hasn't being up to standard since joining United from Madrid, but the initial overzealous agreement has made him become a burden to the club at this point. Saudi is definitely the last option and solution to this problem, because i don't think any club in Europe will make a salary offer of more than 250K to a 32 years old. That salary if been split, will cover up for two players with age advantage.
At Casemiro's age, I don’t think he should be collecting such an amount of money at Manchester United even Mo Salah who is the main man for Liverpool had a tough time getting a new contract with Liverpool because of his age. I think the Saudi Pro League will be the perfect fit for Casemiro where he can play in a less competitive environment and still maintain his huge wages. And as for Marcus Rashford, Manchester United need to cut ties with him to be able to get rid of his high wage.

Alexander Isak is one of the best strikers in Europe this season. He has scored 17 goals so far this season. And he has a contract with Newcastle United until 2028. Newcastle United are under the control of Arab capital. I don't think they will want to sell Alexander Isak. But if Alexander Isak wants to play for a better team, I think he will want to go to Liverpool. Because Liverpool are ambitious for the league title and Champions League. Newcastle United are not at the same level as Liverpool. Undoubtedly this transfer will be an opportunity for Alexander Isak.

But Isak is under contract with Newcastle until 2028, why are there discussions about his possible transfer to Liverpool now? I see that Newcastle will not let him leave for less than 125m, and if Liverpool decide to spend such a huge amount of money, they will set a new transfer record for themselves, because never before have they spent such a huge amount of money on new players.

Isak can strengthen the attack of any team, and it seems that Barcelona and Arsenal are also not against getting him in their team, but I think the transfer fee is too high for this to be possible.

I believe Nassr will also give him amazing price for Nunez. That's their only chance in signing Isaak from Newcastle. They need a lot of money, and selling Nunez to the saudi club is the answer.

~snip~
Isak has shown outstanding performance since being recruited by newcastle from Sociedad, even with his sharpness and consistency in scoring goals has attracted the interest of several teams to recruit him this season including arsenal, but unfortunately the high price is an obstacle for them to get isak in the transfer window last winter, isak seems interested in playing at a better club and has a winning mentality, so it is not surprising if he has stated that he wants to join Liverpool later, with that statement should make it easier for Liverpool to get him next season, but even so, Liverpool has also not been a team that is too generous in buying players so maybe they will think twice about recruiting Isak with his current high price, I think, Isak can actually be a more realistic target for them to recruit and become Salah successor especially maybe later they will lose Salah who has not yet wanted to extend his current contract.
150 million seem a lot just to sign Isaak, but believe me, there may be another solution over this. Liverpool can told Isaak if they will sign him as long as he can negotiate with his club over his transfer fees.

Did you remember when Napoli priced Osimhen 175 million? After the player negotiated with the team, it's decreased to the 75 million - 100 million. This is pretty much the same like Isaak's case. As long as he can convince his team, he can leave with lower fees.
After what happened to Nunez previously, I think at the moment Liverpool is really very selective in buying players especially at high prices and that's why  be the reason for their absence in last two transfer markets this season, Isak currently have a contract until 2028 and I see that it be to their advantage to can keep Isak from any team which is interested in him, so in this case we cannot equate Isak with Osimhen, because after all the situation of the two players is much different, Osimhen at that time openly wanted to move to a big team, while Isak only expressed interest in wanting to play with Liverpool someday and so far it is only an interest and not a strong desire for he leave.

Yep, even though Isak is really impressive in this season, but his first season with Newcastle wasn't impressive. His performance in Real Sociedad wasn't really good, he only looks potential, but he wasn't the beat player at that time.

So, it's risky to sign Isak, if Liverpool sign Isak, they might repeat what they did with Nunez.

Nunez also was good for one season.

If Liverpool intend to release Nunez then this is the right time to do it, when there is a club that offers them a good price to make the transfer. They can also get profit and besides that they can get the player they want. I think this transfer will really happen if Liverpool really intends to do it.
It might be a long consideration for Nunez because he will be outside Europe if this happens. Because he is also a young player and might think more about his career than the salary he will receive when joining the Saudi club. Because I am sure Al Nassr will definitely give a higher salary too.

Nunez's decision totally affected by numerous variable, but hopefully he can use his sense. I don't wanna see the club to force him to go there, but that's the only way to get a lot of money in order to sign Isaak.

Exchanging him to the Isaak is a very worthy transfer i guess. You can imagine they can have two hungry attackers in the same team, and all of them are also in the top scorer leaderboard.

This is a huge move for them. If they wanna dominate the competition, sign Isaak.
